She's in a power event. Completely different than the events that reward little girls. She will do fine.

Way to come through with the casual racism.
More straight forward version then....
Hey. Right On! Sydney M gotss'ta be showin' ya' fellows soon enough tjat she indeed kin run fast and belong wid de too compleshun. 'S coo', bro. She gotss'ta be ownin' 5 gold medals and won't care whut ya' guys dink.
Ridiculous. She may not win gold but will ALWAYS be in the hunt
I don't think so. But her event is probably the 400 hurdles rather than the flat races - I'm not sure if she sees it that way.
Absolutely will be a flop. She will flop the same way Edwin Moses was a flop.

Sydney's race literally never once crossed my mind as I was posting
We know that. Subconcious.
and I would have said the exact same thing about anyone of any race who handles themselves well when speaking publicly.
That's everyone says however they never say it for those who are non white.
It has nothing at all to do with what you're accusing me of
Actually it has everything to do with casual racism as you continue to show.
Sorry, but her career is already guaranteed to not be a complete flop because she has won an NCAA title and is an olympian.
Syd is gonna be the darling of American Track and field for a long time. I hope she gets all the spotlight. Look at how much Lolo Jones is perceived in the American pop culture and she didn’t have half the career Sydney’s already had. Syd just hasn’t crossed over yet but after 2020 she will be a household name as if she just arrived cuz of the double or triple gold medals she will win. She is by far the most attractive female track and field athlete of all time she makes lolo look like a crackhead bum plus her smooth chill personality is more infatuable than lolo’s Goofy/quirky and Felix’s shy/girl next door demeanors. Look for Sydney to be the next bolt type figure that men drool over. She will leave track and field for a more lucrative career early on and then make a comeback later in her career to get back on an Olympic podium getting a bronze or maybe silver in the 400h
Nobody here knows the definition of “career”. She has raced one time as a pro. Her accomplishments were not part of her career. Next you will be viewing your kid’s little league game as a career. I am an accountant so I guess when I did my taxes senior year in high school, I already had a career as an accountant. I should have told my friends because they thought I had no job because I was putting so much time into running. Now high school runners have a career.

Same gut feeling. There is nothing spectacular about her talent, and she competes in the weakly competitive 400m hurdles. She has a big head. The best athletes will throw down against anyone. She dodges the competition.
Ummm, are you dumb?
Dodging the competition, like running in the Olympics as a 16yr old.
Really, dumb.
She wasn’t dodging then because she was the underdog. She backed out of USAs last year but I saw her smooching with her boyfriend behind the stadium. She disappeared all last summer.
Different events!
Cain actually had to learn to race people, trade elbows, get out of a box etc. which she obviously didn't have to do as an outstanding athlete in High School. Also, she had to learn how to kick past opponents as opposed to simply outrunning or outlasting them.
If Mclaughlin continues to run fast, a bit faster in fact, she will place well in all her races no matter what the quality of the opposition.
It's funny how Sydney's family/friends come on this boards and write stuff like this. They should not even respond and let this thread die out. But instead they keep defending her and this thread is still alive. I would not want sponsors to see what really people think about her.
Let this thread end and do Sydney a favor.
We shall see, the pro life is very different , a coach now with an ego. She will find boys and they will find her.
Demands that she didn't see as a high schooler and collegian.
The pressures are oh so different.
Seriously, in what way is anything I wrote racist?? Saying that she's "well spoken?" That doesn't imply anything about her race at all, nor about how her race (or any other) speaks, nor anything else. If I were to write that she's a "fast runner" does that somehow imply that others of her race aren't fast? Neither does saying she's well spoken.
It's simply a compliment given to anyone who, you know, SPEAKS WELL. I don't know how to make it any simpler.
Most people are just not that well-spoken in the media, which includes not looking surly and defensive in interviews and trying to get away after each question, as Murphy was after his loss, so it is a compliment and I'm sure that is how it was intended.
Lolo looks like a crackhead? What does that mean? She is the most beautiful athlete of all time.

So? That's not relevant to the topic.

There's a fair subset of population which cannot stand Lolo.

Everyone knows the code words.
