LOL at people on this thread acting like it's scandalous to suggest that getting skinnier will make you faster to a point. Centro certainly doesn't have an eating disorder, and no one is suggesting that acquiring an eating disorder is a good idea. As was mentioned early in the thread, Centro looks the way he does because he runs a lot of mileage, not because he starves himself. I guarantee that he eats more calories per day than I do, and I am downright fat.

Anyone who looks at Centro and says "I need to starve myself to look like that" is just being lazy. You're looking at the product of years of mileage, and you're saying "I need to have that right now by means other than simply putting in the work."

Eh..dude looks fine in the second pic. Like rojo said, this is just what the body of an elite athlete looks like when in high fitness. pretty much the same muscle mass he looks like 2016 in the upper body. Always thought he had biggish quads and calves for a 1500 guy anyways...

yes something is really off with the lighting. I though this was some picture after coming out of a Tough Mudder race. Even the white folks in the pic look darker than the Obamas.

what guys want to do in the off season is build up some muscle because speed will go down, year after year,

instead of science, they go back and do the same thing, catabolize like centro and then eventually move up in distance,

people should try moving down more.

Centro thinks he's going to get the girls, but the guy holding him will be the winner. No girl wants a guy who can get lifted up by another guy. They'd rather have the guy doing the lifting.

But that's ok, Centro prefers men and men like skinny men. SO he will be the winner at the local gentlemen's club.

centro probably in early season, holding some of the cross training form, good job, you want to look like that in the preparation, and then stupid skinny only for a month or two peak.

Endurance vs power, which one does a woman prefer? A guy who can last 2+ hours non-stop or a meat head who can't even last 5 minutes? Not only that Bill Rodgers looks 110% more healthy and natural in that photo than meat heads at the gym.
