I'm literally getting bored to death of Kathleen Tuohy. What is the obsession here? How many threads can possibly be made about her. I bet Bekele literally comes to letsrun, to laugh at lot's of people here. She will be forgotten about soon I'm sure, like literally a damp squid.

Yea, she gets to bounce back today, just two days later. What is her coach thinking?

Is everyone forgetting that just 6 days before Millrose Katelyn tripled at the Rockland County Championships, running a 1K, 1500 and 600 (taking second in a self-described dissapointing 1:36 and stating that she had to work on her speed), all with minimal recovery between races. Quite a sharpening workout! Losing a race - no matter how unimportant - certainly could have affected her confidence and she obviously was concerned about her speed (or lack of it). So not such a huge surprise I feel. Her coach should shut her down for a week/10 days now.

I watched the race. You could see KT running off the track immediately afterwards. She’s been running a lot and Gabby Wilkinson is no lightweight. She’s US #1 in the 1000m and the 1500m. So KT didn’t win and she didn’t break a record...she’s human. Too much pressure.

I think people are forgetting that she is a 15 year old girl! That is a difficult time for everyone without the media breathing down your neck 24/7 declaring you the best thing to ever happen to American women's distance running. Let her be a kid and enjoy running.

That was kind of a weird article. A little too dramatic for my taste, and an odd comment about a girl's physical/mental development...

No, we are not forgetting. Seems like her coach is the one who is getting all excited.

When you start making statements about breaking this record and that you are inviting attention. Like you said, let her be a kid and enjoy the sport, the records will come.

Yeah I'm a big fan of Tuohy, but this seemed over the top. Way too personal. For Christ sake, she gets more attention than the girl who won. Let Wilkinson be the star for a week.

As weird as that article is, he's kinda right. She needs to mature and learn how to race, not time trial, confidently.
