First off Kimetto is now 34 years old. Not many people can still run fast at that age. Not everyone has Bernard Lagat type longevity. Most runners are washed up by the time they reach 34
Secondly Kimetto won big races from 2011 to 2015 so he was in the testing pool for four years.
Maybe he just lost his motivation to run after making a lot of money. Remember that Kimetto was never passionate about running. He only started running because he was struggling to make a living as a peasant farmer.
Or maybe he is too old to run anymore. His listed age is 34 but he could very well be 37.
