Having elite women in athletics does affect ALL women. It gives women role models to follow. It gives women something to aspire to. It's not just the 0.0001% that's affected, it's every teenage athlete out who watched the olympics and concluded that there wasn't a future for them in track. Not to mention, once we start seeing the majority of D1 scholarships in the NCAA going to trans/intersex athletes, it's game over for women in track.
And putting aside Jozwik's comments, because I have yet to see a reliable translation... can you point specifically to what Sharpe said that was bigotted? I mean, quote her directly and tell me where the bigotted statement was. The lack of empathy for the situation these women are in is just astounding.
