Prob 8 drafted for each event. Two in each event for each team in running events and one in each field event.
Who are the 8 for 800, 1500, steeple and 4 mile road race assuming all the top guys. Signed up?
Also may be a great tune- up for Olympic qualifiers. So I wouldn't assume the very best guys didn't sign up.
Do they go with marquee names that may not be running fast right now or do they go with guys that are the fastest now, regardless of how popular they are?
Also, do Nike guys get top preference even tho they may not necessarily deserve to be drafted in many cases?
Draft pool was supposed to be announced on June 20th....
Is part of the strategy for this that we won't know the potential draft picks until a team selects the athlete?

Why is this the expected and accepted approach to any news about running? Imagine if you didn't know who your favorite NFL was playing this week. Or maybe they aren't even playing AT ALL! People like surprises like that, right?

Heard that they got 6 or 7000 entries. Man, that's tough. Only 72 get chosen. Only 1% get picked. Tough cut.

You can't still be in college to participate. Have to be a U.S. citizen.

How much does it cost to put names up on a website?
Someone told me that perhaps they are not publishing the 677 names because TrackTown does not want to risk hurting anyone's feelings if the athlete is among the 500 or so not selected.
