The top four finishers are obviously all on something. There's no doubt in my mind. Dibaba was waiving her arms around celebrating at the end while hardly breathing hard after closing in under 1:57. Give me a break. As the announcer said, "There has never been a final two laps close to that in a major women's 1500, even during the height of the documented Eastern European doping era."
I hope they can develop some improved testing in a hurry before the Olympics, but it is doubtful.
Have they given her the Caster Semenya test yet?
That was only the second female distance race I could not have won in my prime, the other being Paula's 2:15:25.

I think misnomer stands. The 11 seconds in year suggests a meaning (Dibaba improved 11s in one year and must be doping) that is known to be wrong as she had run faster outdoors several years ago and 3:55 indoors last year.
The final 800 of today's race was amazing but let's put it in perspective.
Dibaba's 1500 WR is worth 4:07 high for the mile.
In today's race, they hit the 800 in 2:25. That's pretty easy pace for a 4:07 miler. Most milers of that caliber could run a 1:56 high off that pace.
It's possible that Dibaba is a cheater. It's possible that more than half of the athletes at this meet are cheaters. Each athlete should be tested.

You might be right with this! 2:10.8 with 800m to go on the TV clock and 4:07.7 when crossing finish line. This would give her a 1:56.9 - while not running hard to the finish. So more like a 1:56.7/1:56.8 for her last 800m!?
The ethiopian national record for 800m is 1:57.48!! She definitely was under this mark - but for sure with a flying start...

It reminds me of the unreal Flo-Jo performances in the 1984 Olympics. And the others in the race who closed under 2:00 for the last 800 are also obvious dopers. Risking their long-term health for a medal.
Official splits had both Dibaba AND Hassan at 1.57.1 for the last 800.
It will be interesting to see what Hassan can do when she goes in the 800.
Great run by Laura Muir in 5th. Closed in 2.00.2 which is a couple of tenths faster than her best time that was set this season.
