1:56 last 800 in a 1500 is insane for a woman. But remember she is a 3:50 runner, she's 6 full seconds faster than the next fastest woman competing in this race.
It's not unbelievable at all to think a 3:50 runner could close that fast after going out in 2:25. Hell 2:25 per 800 is probably almost her 10k pace at this point!! Either way that was an incredible race, I'd love to see her take a run at the 800 record, I betting she can go 1:54 low right now.
What about Sifan Hassan?
She must have had about the same?

I think they'd want the pace faster as well but come on. They only way they win is if dibaba misjudges it and ties up. Guess what. That's exactly what she did.

I think some of the "nuts" are right. It adds up to an agenda of letting nations/athletes of a certain stripe cheat. This woman couldn't run 1:56 in the 800 alone fresh last season, maybe a tough time doing that this season. Crack out the melanotan if you're a true European or Japanese, lol.
With 700 to go Hassan was 1.21 after Dibaba, at the finish 1.25.
