If Ms. Goucher has proper counsel, and I'm sure she does, that counsel should tell her to stand by her original statement and nothing more. Deviating from that statement in any way will only weaken her position. She is well respected and said her piece. Own it.

There is nothing good that can come from her engaging a multi billion dollar PR machine into a full fledged fight. She will lose (whether she is wrong or right) and her reputation risks being severely damaged. The emotional and financial stress could be crippling.

Ms. Goucher has a wonderful opportunity to retake the high ground by standing by her statement and not engaging in the mud slinging that everyone on this board desires.

BTW I think Jordan should reap the $$ to pay for her eventual return to Stanford Med School and understand this is a short lived career. I bet this is her ultimate goal and is sick and tired of all the BS. I hate to see her caught up in all of this... nice kid!

Give me a break! I personally see no reason for Kara to lie ... all I am saying is that I agree that saying "our truth" is odd, and if you can't even acknowledge that, good grief!

I know the hip thing these days is to have no absolutes and I can have my "truth" and you can have your "truth". But when someone is accused of wrongdoing, there is THE truth or there are lies. Either Kara and Adam told THE truth or they told lies. Is "our truth" the truth or is it half-truths and lies?

Agree with you here. Kara can't win by coming back at Alberto. She said what she had to say, if she changes her story, adds personal attacks, etc it will just engage a full on war with Nike that she can't win.
