That was a lame response.

The Goucher's are weird, and have nothing but their weirdness.

"Our truth". Wth?? I knew Adam was orchestrating this.

The truth is the truth and she shouldn't need her husband or anyone else to help her create her own version of it.

1. Alberto's story is one-sided, partial stories don't tell the truth.

2. Adam and I went to WADA in 2013 with our concerns about NOP.

3. My sole focus at the moment is on the USAs.

4. There is no 4.

If Kara was so upset, why did the Gouchers wait until Feb 2013 to go to USADA?

There are still plenty of BIG questions surrounding AlSal*, but this story is steadily diminishing my opinion of Kara Goucher.

* For example, WHY [if Salazar is to believed and "testosterone medication" in the Magness photo refers to a supplement intended to increase endogenous testosterone production] was Rupp taking testoboost or some similar supplement? And why [if Epstein is to be believed] has AlSal changed his story from claiming that Rupp was taking testoboost to offset the effects of prednisone [which he now says Galen only took on an emergency basis] to giving no explanation at all for why Galen was taking some one of several different supplements which are supposed to boost endogenous testosterone production?

She is blowing smoke. Why does she repeat that she already went to USADA in February 2013 over 3 years ago instead of sharing something new? We already know she went to USADA 3+ years ago. In fact, it weakens her story since USADA took no action even though they are a sophisticated agency that "aggressively investigates all reports."

The Cytomel story and now claiming "oh wait that was a different Cytomel incident that we forgot to mention to David" is highly, highly, highly improbable. Alberto has emails to back up his story. We now know Alberto is an avid emailer, and if Kara's story was true, she should have emails to back it up. What does Kara actually have? A bottle that was given to her in August 2011 but she is claiming it was in April 2011 when Alberto was emailing all her trainers telling them how great her weight was. That's not probable Kara.

I also can't believe she mislead everyone by stating Galen's Brussels race were he set the AR was improbable, and she didn't acknowledge the substantial temperature difference between the races! I feel mislead by her.

Kara you owe Alberto an apology and thank you for all he did for you. Alberto may be a bully but he isn't a cheater.

I'm thinking if she is calling Salazar a liar, the apology will not be coming.

If you honestly have a hard time imagining why they may have been hesitant to do this, just look at the comments that have appeared about them on this message board in the past three weeks, along with the things Salazar wrote about them yesterday. Do you think they should have just been okay with knowing they'd be personally ripped to shreds? And that doesn't even touch a variety of other concerns they may have had that aren't difficult to imagine.

People aren't robots. Have you never in your not-a-public-figure life been stuck thinking, "I know what the right thing to do is, but I'm scared of how 'they' will react"? If not, you're a rare specimen.

This isn't a zero-sum game. You don't have to think highly of the Gouchers, Magness or anyone else to believe that Salazar is bent.

What a worthless response. It is the equivalent to saying, "Agree to disagree" while walking away whistling. She would have been better off just not responding at all. The Brojos are on their side so they wouldn't even put a clock on the front page.

You are brighter than that, I know you are. It's for publicity and no other reason. Trust me, her sponsor is not unhappy that she's in the news. She can't stand that she's out of the spotlight and will do anything to get back in. Please, don't over think this thing, it's not that hard to figure out.

No one knows what happened for sure. Salazar certainly documented his reasons much better. After reading his responses it is clear that Magness could certainly be jaded and had issues stemming from his being released from his contract due to relations with Areson. It also paints a picture of how working with Kara and Adam really was (Kara is not really the peach that she claims to be). There are also numerous emails from Dr's and USADA/WADA/USATF showing what he was doing, so although they were using supplements it was under the scope of the rules per USADA/WADA. I tend to think that Salazar is probably not doping his runners or using testosterone. However, the larger issue of supplements and other training aids and the large grey area of their uses still doesn't sit well, but it seems to be a USATF/USADA/WADA issue.

This seems like a case of there was smoke, but there will not be an inferno/fire. I can't see how this is going to turn into an investigation as it already was being examined and I don't see the USADA/WADA changing their regulations as that has not historically been their nature.

A bit frustrated with this response to be honest. I'm still scrounging around for every detail I can find (probably unhealthily so), but I think if you're going to throw out accusations about someone, true or not, you have a pretty grave responsibility to prove your allegations. I don't think she did when the story initially broke, which was upsetting, and now she's focusing only on her upcoming comepetition? I just don't like it. The burden of proof is on the accusers, not the accused. People criticize Salazar's delayed response, but he has absolutely no responsibility to prove his innocence. That's why I have this double standard. Kara, we need a response, fast!
