I think it's pretty obvious. Even the Nike runners who aren't in Salazar's camp are publicly stating the obvious. This was a normal indoor distance race. The contact had zero effect on the outcome. This is simply corrupt influence on the sport and may be the straw that breaks the camels back.
I'm a fan of Salazar's athletes, but something is clearly rotten in Denmark.

If GG didn't want any issue, she could've easily ran to avoid all of this and win a clean race. She choose not to...

Gabe has never been a graceful runner. This sort of thing was going to happen eventually the way she runs. Every race I see, she's banging into somebody. The video is just more evidence that she's all over the road. Not sure why the Brojos think this is some giant conspiracy. If she weren't running over the top everyone to get the front nobody would care in the least that she won? Of course not. She's a great runner who just unfortunately has poor depth perception.

I posted this on another thread, but since Lauren F. called out Hasay and told her to "woman up" and tell her accounting of the contact, why not ask the same of Gabe? Maybe hearing their (honest) sides of the story would provide some clarity regarding the nature of the contact.

To say that the bump had no effect on Jordan Hasay's race is is absurd. I was there.... Hasay no doubt would have not been able to match GG's kick... but she would have been able to respond A LOT better if she wasn't trying to recover from her stumble. A different runner might have been able to, but not Jordan. She was taken out of the race with the trip.
It was absolutely clear, that without the trip up, Hasay would have finished MUCH better. She didn't get "whupped fair and square" ... but bumps happen and that's life... I'm sure she was ready to move on. Too bad about the DQ.

How did that go down? Was there any influence involved into getting her into the race?

I do find it funny that Fleshman called out Hasay "to do the right thing." Wanting the better athlete go to Worlds. Seriously?
Does anyone else recall the 2008 Olympic Trials 5k where Fleshman blatantly and intentionally tried to impede Sarah Slattery? She would get in front of Sarah and slow down repeatedly. Fleshman was trying to stop Slattery from getting the standard at any cost because she knew she wasn't going to beat her for the 4th place spot without resorting to that dirty tactics.
In the post-race interview Fleshman kept referring to herself as "athletic" and this quote "My body just wouldn't respond, so I started running defensively"
