Classless of Fleshman here. she was on the nike dole for years, she NEVER would have went against vin if he had pulled some shady SH** like this (and lanana HAS over the years, though not involving fleshman, to my recollection), as she knows her contract would have been pulled in a heartbeat. admire her for a lot fo things but this is certianly not one of them. stay classy miss fleshman, you're better than this.

The thing is, she only makes these claims AFTER she's out of Nike's pocket. There have been plenty of Nike controversies in the past years. Fleshman was completely silent then.

There was no way Hasay was going close close in 30. She has never closed in 30 in her freaking life.

Lauren has always been a stand up person. She saw the same race the rest of us saw. She's been in a lot of tight races and her experience makes her very credible.

Might be true, but this was certainly not a stand-up "call-out" of fleshman. truly one of the more classless things I've ever seen out of an athlete. she owes Jordan a personal apology, IMO. also classless was the unecessary post by Hugo Diego about fleshman, no need to go that low either.

I think maybe all of these people should give Hasay some time to figure out what all happened and what she wants to say about it. She doesn't need to respond within hours. Give her and the USATF some time to figure it all out.

Also, this meme that these young pros should always and fully speak truth to power is simplistic. Like we all publicly speak out when our employer does something we don't like.

Also lame are these ooh-read-the-tea-leaves tweets, like the one by Adam Goucher about integrity. Where was his great defense of integrity when he was the beneficiary of Salazar shenanigans at the 2008 Trials?

Here's what's different. Hasay is a big girl. She knows (especially after watching the video a gazillion times), there should be no DQ. Salazar was obviously livid about the men's 5K & somebody was gonna pay. If not Schumacher then ???… Hasay got whupped fair & square. I know she was in no way behind this protest. Just wish she could have some calming influence on her coach & get him to back off. Makes them all look bad.
