I agree with you the Kenyans ability to sacrifice is incredible. Do you find it interesting that there are no real big name Kenyan coaches? There are big name american coaches (self serving bastards that no all the answers) but the guys without the big name coaches are kicking our asses. In addition, about 95% of the Kenyans that compete in US colleges do their own workouts, separate from the team. I believe any coach that thinks that any athlete can only be successful under their system, is not giving enough credit to the athlete. Wetmore is only a name because of his athletes success. Lananna is a great recruiter and is thus elevated to a good coach. I am not saying that both of these guys aren't good coaches but we wouldn't even know their names if they were coaching middle school athletes. Their knowledge would be the same. Good Athletes make good coaches and more elite level coaches need to realize this. By the way our congressman earn roughly 100K a year but yet they are all millionaires. Fame came from their position in congress but their money came from elsewhere. Good Coaches have figured this out, struggling coaches are trying to make a buck off of an athlete and justify their worthiness. JK you deserve 6 figures a year but your athletes can make you famous and your fame can make you money, but your athletes can't make you money. Good Luck
