I apologize for the "sole purpose is running" comment. I do not know that for a fact. I am not biased against foreign athletes at all. Many of us wanted to see Boaz get whipped by Torres and company because of Boaz's bold and arrogant pre-race predictions. It had nothing to do with him being from a foreign country.

Why did everyone want to see Torres win? Its not like he really is an American. I mean anyone that has seen him can tell that in reality he is as much as an American as Boaz is.

It was truly awesome to see Torres put the smack down on Boaz. Especially after he talked all that shit. I also heard Cragg had a stress fracture and that is why he lost. And that Kimani had blue balls and that is why he didn't win.

Wasn't Pre bold enough to basically say he would punish his competition with a pure guts race? And Pre failed in the big race did he not? But you will rip on Boaz for doing the same thing that a man most American runners idolize did. Boaz had no reason to think he would lose, but either did Torres or Kimani, or Kangogo, or Cragg, or anyone else who is a great runner. It is called confidence and it is what every runner needs to be able to succeed. Boaz is the second most humble person I know (behind Gavin), and considering you don't know Boaz I wouldn't be so quick to judge his character off of a couple of quotes in articles.

I did not judge anyone's character. I just don't like EMU or Scott Hubbard for that matter. The only thing I base my Hubbard opinion off of is this message board. I never said I hate Boaz. I like Boaz. But he runs for EMU. So there for I enjoyed his defeat simply because he guaranteed victory and wanted to make everyone hurt when in fact he was the one that felt the pain. I simply do not like EMU for many reasons. This does not mean I do not respect them as they did run well at the NCAA.

Do you honestly think that "most American runners idolize" Pre for failing? What they idolize was Pre's willingness to take big risks, not his failure to accomplish his true goal. What Boaz did is like if Ruth pointed to the outfield fence and then grounded out. People would think he was ridiculous for that and rightly so. It's one thing to have a quiet confidence, it's another thing entirely to be cocky and make bold public declarations. No truly humble person would do the latter and Boaz's actions speak more loudly than your words do. If you don't walk your talk then you deserve to be ripped royally.
