But, the ones who were delusional, wouldn't be the type to admit they were wrong. Can someone please tell me why the owners of this site and several of the guys who comments in here are so delusional that they talk about Galen as someone having a chance at a medal this summer? He is a great great runner, but he simply doesn't have a chance. This is an olympic year, it will be much harder. Farah will struggle to medal. Wait and see.

Saying someone will medal and saying someone has a chance to medal are two completely different things.

A 26:48 guy not being able to medal is a ridiculous notion. Anyone with that PR should at least be in the conversation.

A guy who has never broken into the top 5 at a world major should not be considered probable to medal, no matter how fast his PR.

Lagat is a great runner, no doubt, but isn't rooting for him like rooting for the Yankees only more so? Rupp showed up and gave it his best shot against one of the best runners of all time as he has again and again. Call me delusional, but that's why I'm a Rupp fan.
