thank you flagpole. i for one would welcome all of the football players giving it a call. the sport would get a lot more pub and interest. and if they get whooped then track gets some respect. if not we get to see some incredible athletes blow our minds.
i would love to see teddy ginn give track a shot again. i have never seen anyone win a 55 meter race by as much as he did in an indoor meet i saw him run in high school.

Since we have a NFL lockout it would be great to see some NFLers on the track this summer. Would bring some much needed excitement and media attention to our sport. I know this is a distance board but the lack of appreciation for elite sprinters is amazing. Based on high school 40yd and 100m times 10,000’s of guys can run sub 10. But relatively few have done it. You can’t extrapolate for blocks, hand time, reaction time, etc, etc and say CJ can run 9.90. Relative to other sports everyone on this planet has tried sprinting and that’s resulted in a very few sub 9.90 guys. 10.50 shows great promise but to get to sub 9.90 for 10.50 requires training. The body has to respond to and has to hold up under this training.

An it has been countless nfl players who have won medals in track like deion sanders,bob hayes an lyn swine. Like for real he even runs with almost perfect form just need tp pump his arms more
