Keynes Killer, you spout one idiocy after another. You're a bore. Aside from that, you do not recognize that the rich deserve to be discredited and demonized. Your false assumption is they deserve to be idolized.Your other assumption is that a social safety net is tantamount to a total loss of freedom, whereas the truth is that it allows some measure of freedom from life's very hard realities for those who do not have the resources to live a modicum above serfdom.Another assumption is that all public servants are greedy. Some do want to help. I went to a top 10 school of rich kids, many of whom will pursue public office, or are bankers, and most of whom are self-interested, and they certainly will deserve to be demonized and discredited and fit your model of being untrustworthy. I however do care about people's well-being and am equipped to not drift through life as your cretinous mentality would suggest.Responsibility, my slack-jawed friend, entails being responsible for others too, who may be too weak, or would otherwise be savaged. The immature and shortsighted are out only for themselves. The elites of Europe understood this. They called it the 'noble obligation'. It's smart policy, humane too, and for the religious out there, darn Christian. The facts are that government has served the people and most of modern living which you probably enjoy is a product of government involvement, i.e., roads, schools, utilities, pure research (and applied technologies).
