If I'm reading this correctly you're saying, 1)Birthers are crazy, 2)The Clinton candidacy brought up the birth certificate thing up first in '08, 3)Therefore Democrats are crazy birthers. Whether or not you're a birther yourself, you have demonstrated that you're mentally retarded either way.

http://www.thedailybeast.com/blogs-and-stories/2010-02-08/the-secret-history-of-the-birthers/And Obama certainly could put a stop to it but doesn't want to. He wants the birthers around as an easy foil. (not a very unifying tactic btw).
A couple lawyers from the McCain campaign looked into it early on and concluded that there was nothing to birtherism.
The truth is if you follow the arrows, they all lead straight back to the D camp. Redneck, idiot, crazy etc.--hey if the shoe fits, guess they'll have to wear it.

It looks legit, to me. Baby born locally. Announcement in local paper.
Between the birthers on here, and the people who forget how English is spoken who hate them, I am tired of this.
I'm just worried that people such as yourself will blindly believe someone who's pretty much been lying to us for the last 2.5 years. It just doesn't make sense.

Thank you for your concern. I can assure you that I live in the reality-based community, have nearly 60 years of life experience, with my eyes wide open and a pretty decent B.S. meter. I see lots and lots of "lying" in the current political arena, but whatever may be coming out of the Pres is completely dwarfed by the tidal wave of hysterical nonsense coming from his oppoosition.
You are wasting precious energy and emotion on a non-issue.
So.....there was a conspiracy to put a birth announcement for a Barack Obama in the Honolulu newspapers so that he could get elected president 46 years later? Is that it?

The poster you two were ridiculing wrote Columbia college records, as in his records from college, at Columbia. __________ college records.
How do you get "Stanford College choked at nationals" from that? Or your equally preposterous "Oklahoma State College?"
English is my native language. People who hate birthers use terms like "college grades," "college transcript," and "college parties," too, even though they attended a university. One guy you disagree with says Columbia college records, as opposed to Yale college records, not high school records, college records, and you forget how English is spoken.
Stop letting your hatred for other points of view warp your memory of how the language is spoken. Attack the guy on the merits, if you wish, but __________ college records makes perfect sense in English.
Except he wrote Occidental College records and Columbia College records.
Note the capitalization. Also note what he did for Occidental College. Learn some reading comprehension buddy.
Yes, I am a racist. Now let's move on. "Racist" is so lame that it doesn't work anymore and is the last stand of someone who cannot argue a position.Let's see his passport. He used the name Barry Soetoro when it was convenient. He went to middle school in Indonesia and his "religion" was listed as Islam. In the words of David Letterman "he's on his way to being the most "successful" one term President ever"

Why didn't Bush??? He only showed his transcripts from college...
Where was his birth certificate???
Where was his college application???
Where was his passport???
He is obviously hiding something right?????
The truth must come out right???
Please...This is a double standard more than likely based off of racism.
All the critics WOULD NOT be silenced if he gave in and showed them everything they wanted. They would then feel empowered and want more personal information that has nothing to do with being President. They would keep demanding and keep excusing no matter what truths were presented to them. Obama knows this and ignores them like crazy people should be ignored.
The republican opposition would love to find something on Obama. If there was any credible evidence they would be all over it because it would destroy the Democratic Party for years. But there is no credible evidence out there.

Thanks. That's good advice. I noticed the caps long before your first post here. It's called a typo. He should have typed "college records" instead of "College records," perhaps not for Occidental College, but for Columbia University. I knew that, just as you and I both knew what he meant. Reading comprehension can, and does, trump tiepos like that.
See, you can do it too, when you want. You understood what I meant.
You're not stupid. You knew what he meant all along, just made up a phony argument in some transparent effort to make him look stupid. Sorry. You were too transparent. Phony a mile away.
I didn't quite understand what this notion of "troll" was on message boards. You evidently are one. In hindsight, what I should have done is ignore you, and perhaps this entire discussion, as most people did.
By the way, thanks for the rich intended insult of "learn some reading comprehension buddy." It sounds like a line from a 1930s movie. I don't know anyone who talks like that in 2010, or in any of the last two decades. When I see someone calling a woman a dame, I'll know it's you, trolling under another name.
2011 resolution: Avoid these trolls.
Good luck, with one less person responding to you. Make another screen name and congratulate yourself for you insights.
I’m not sure what ‘credible evidence’ you’re seeking.
I’ve been reading some of his opinions about your country written before he became president.
“We took this country by terror away from the Sioux, the Apache, the Iroquois, the Comanche, the Arapaho, the Navajo. Terrorism. We took Africans from their country to build our way of ease and kept them enslaved and living in fear. Terrorism. We bombed Grenada and killed innocent civilians, babies, non-military personnel; we bombed the black civilian community of Panama, with stealth bombers, and killed unarmed teenagers and toddlers, pregnant mothers and hard-working fathers. We’ve bombed Gaddafi’s home and killed his child. “Blessed are they who bash your children’s heads against the rocks.” We bombed Iraq; we killed unarmed civilians trying to make a living. We bombed a plant in Sudan to pay back an attack on our embassy. Killed hundreds of hard-working people, mothers and fathers who left home to go that day, not knowing that they would never get back home. We’ve bombed Hiroshima, we’ve bombed Nagasaki, we’ve nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon and we never batted an eye. Kids playing in the playground, mothers picking up children after school, civilians not soldiers, people just trying to make it day by day. We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant. Because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back into our own front yards.”
Sounds more like the thoughts of a typical person that hates the USA.
Worthy of a supporter of Al-Qaeda rather than a sitting US president.
Hooray, now that Alf Shrubb has joined in, we have the full set of Letsrun's racist shitbird mentally deficient posters on the thread.
F*** off and die, and, more importantly, stop using the name of a decent human being as your handle - you are dishonoring the memory of a great runner.
The puzzling thing to me is that on the Certificate of Live Birth the race of his father is stated "African". African is not a race. Being the old guy that I am I remember that back in the day it would have been customary to have stated his race as "Negro". Just a puzzling thing.

The law in 1961 required that for a child born outside the United States, both parents had to be US citizens for the child to be a natural born US citizen. Obama's father was not a US citizen so that's why it matters.

Is this true? I've never heard an Obama supporter acknowlege this. Are they just stonewalling, hoping the problem will go away?
I have heard Obama supporters say, many times, his place of birth doesn't matter because his mother was a US citizen. Have they been playing fast and loose about the real problem?
Thanks.

In any case, thanks for reinforcing one of my subpoints, namely that Democrats are big on name-calling.
But to reiterate my main point, the birtherist concept originated on the left. It's indisputably ironic that the left now spends so much time name-calling birthers. Furthermore, I don't know of any leading conservatives who are birthers. Even Glenn Beck, who is on the edge of mainstream conservatism, is anti-birther. It is the left who keeps bringing up this topic.
hundreds of people in the federal gov't are leaking the details of obama's nazi regime and we can't get one of them to release his schools and births records ? what the sam hell is going on ?
Attention Leakers and the rest of you mental midgets; You have a black president, get over it. He was elected as part of the democratic process that makes America great. If you don't like the results, elect someone else in 2012. Just for fun, why don't you show some respect for democracy and the Commander in Chief? You can be in denial all you want about it, but the people have spoken and they have elected Barack Obama as the president of the United States. I have never met a birther who was not an open or closet bigot. It is the worst kept secret in the republican party. I am white and I have never been as proud of my country as I was the night he was elected because I knew it was in spite of the people in this country who hated him because he was half black, like the birthers.
Once this country gets over giving less or more credit to a person's ideas based on what race he is, the better off we will be.
While you Obama lovers tout his half-Kenyan blackskinness, what about his lousy love of the Nazi Party and Zionists. The dude is a racist sickoh stealing the home of Semite Muslims and giving them to his fake Superior Zionist race.
Innocent people are being killed by Obama in Palestine, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iraq. I'm glad that a half-Irish and half-Central-African man is President but he is a murderer. I don't like O.J. either. I hope the birthers find something on him and he gets kicked out of office in order to save the lives of innocent people in the Middle East.
