The national meet was pulled from Boston at a very late date. This pre-national meet was already in the works (3rd year) and the meet organizers were left holding the bag. Understandably, many teams pulled out or decided not to enter when they learned that the national meet would no longer be held in Boston.
I have my facts straight. sitting in the stands at last years meet, the topic of conversation among the coaches was Nike dropping sponsorship for the following year. We were all in agreement that that would spell the end of the meet. Outdoors, in NC, New Balance announced that they were doing indoors in New York. Again, the general feeling was that that would be the only indoor national meet. Sorry if it took so long for the folks in Boston to figure it out.
The so called pre nat meet is similar to last year, small showing from outside the state, mostly mass teams.

I guess they didn't get the memo. A phone call would have been nice. Not saying it didn't happen, but it sure seems that way with the national meet still on the Reggie Lewis schedule.

Good try Ray as you DO NOT HAVE your facts straight with regards to the indoor meet.
There was NO statement made by NB at last seasons outdoor event in Greensboro re NB having an indoor event much less at the Armory and that is a FACT. During last years NIN in Boston NO decision had yet been made by either Nike or the NSSF on the future of that event and a continued partnership between the parties. Discussions about the NSSF owned event moving from Boston to the Armory and with NB as a partner did not begin until this fall after the NSSF and Nike chose not to move forward and subsequently discussions with the NSSF, New Balance and the Armory only began in the fall after the Armory decided not to allow the NSIC and MAC back in for their date.
Don't know where you got your facts and wherever they were not accurate.
