Jim Ryun was actually a 3:31 miler.
And of course rabbits reduce the time per lap by 6.67 seconds. If Ryun had been paced for the first 3/4 he would have run a 3:11.

What are the odds that drafting is worth EXACTLY one second per lap, that dirt to synthetic is EXACTLY one second per lap (it is no more than 1/2 second) and that your evening out disparate splits is worth EXACTLY 2 seconds. This is only true When the Moon is in the seventh house and Jupiter aligns with Mars. At all other times you can increase those discrepancies by 15%.
