I was working on Dean Karnazes endurance 50 project and reading all the nice things the letsrun community had to say about him

I had no talent in any sports whatsoever, and turned to running. Figured it was a sport where more time spent was most directly proportional to being better at it. Googled to find out what the 5k and 10k world records were out of sheer curiosity. One thing led to another and I found myself here. Am consoled by the fact that my 5k PB is not slower than bekele's 10k WR timing.

I was down-loading porn, and this popped up.

First heard of it when Wejo was a pacer at the 2002 Chicago Marathon. Frank Shorter was on the course doing commentary and gave it a shout out too.

Christ, it must have been five f***ing years ago if it was a g*dd**n day. Saw in the results of some f***tacious rootytoot West coast track meet that some son of a bi**h named after a bluecollar trade and a manc**k respectively had run for a friggin' "team" called Letsrun.com. And fast as all f***spit was he! Like 28 minutes fast! "C***fire!" I yelled, bashing my prong against my wifeslut's cheek in my rigid-dicked excitement, "I'm gonna surf to that f***in' URL and see what this hots**t team is all about!" So I pointed my tittybit**ed ass at this site and what the h**l happened? Little did I was opening up a huge f***ing g*dd**n can of what the F***!?! Dinkbrained f***holes talking s**t straight outta their barking spiders about every decent f***ing American runner out there on this side! Halfwit twatjammwers chattering about f****** and hotness on the other! But luckily, a couple of real f***ing gems, the sort of s**t worth saving to your f***ing hard drive, in the middle! But mostly just filthy f***in' bulls**t from overgrown teenage f***tards and assorted bungpuppies purposely out to offend anyone with half a f***in' eye open. Luckily those retarded piss-sprayers have mostly blown the straight the f*** away into the shitbin of the internet.

I don't remember but I miss the hotness threads.

People in a Madison running shop, including Max Harn, kept talking about the infamous Max Harn threads. Came here one day and have checked it ever since.

As I recall she was a pretty good marathoner and curiously had the initials KKK.

LRC procrastination is probably responsible for my life being in disarray most of the time and sadly i usually just read.

LRC is like NPR, you don't come on here looking for specific info but its good for exposing you to information and viewpoints you wouldn't normally come across.

Wow, I thought I answered this before but I guess not.

I believe the first time I saw LetsRun was on someone's blog a few years ago. I might have clicked on the site and saw how boring it looked and never gave it a thought, but then I saw it again mentioned on another running site a few months later and decided to give it another try. I believe I responded to a post (being naive and whatnot..) and next thing I know it, I am being chewed out, challenged and hazed on this forum.

I knew then, I found my "calling" or lets say a place I can't seem to stay away...:)
