I went in for a coffee today and the girl wasn't there. That sucked, its not like I was going to ask her out. I just wanted to talk her. I dont think she works weekends. Do you think it would be weird if I searched for her on facebook and looked to see if she had a boyfriend?

I know its kinda stalkerish, just as long as she doesn't find out, I really don't care. But the problem is she has a common first name, there are about a 100 girls with her name that go to my school. Thats a lot of searching. I have a feeling the more I search the more I'll creep myself out.

Eh don't worry about it. People often look through the friends list of other people to find out the names of the person they're really interested in, often times the person's profile will be public too, so you can find out their name, click through about 400 pics, check out where they're from, their info page, etc without ever having spoken to them.

I was recently at starbucks, and they list the employees aka baristas first and last names on the bulletin board. There is this cute girl so bottom line is that I DID CHECK facebook and she was one of those to not have her facebook privacy settings tweaked and I could see she had a boyfriend "in a relationship with ------ ----" etc. I could even view her hometown, her high school, hobbies, etc and then I could go to wikipedia and greatschools.net to determine the socioeconomic status and public schools of people in her hometown hahah I do this a lot!!! Greatschools.net shows the percentage of a high schools students on free or reduced priced lunch. Some high schools it's 1percent. Some inner cities it's 70plus percent. This is off topic but it could give you insight as to whether she would be a gold digger or something like that.
If the privacy settings prevent this kind of info, perhaps you can tell from a profile preview pic when you search for them...we do this all the time, If in her profile pic she is hugging/whatever with one guy in the pic, then she's probably taken.
People do this all the time and it's like being a fly on the wall and the victim doesn't know your presence. Like that song by Clay Aiken "if I was invisible"
It's why I would advise everyone out there (both guys and girls) to tweak social network/facebook privacy settings!!!!
If you're not going to adjust your privacy settings, ok, but realize whatever you put is like you're just saying to the world "LOOK at me and my info!" Which is fine but your profile will get a lot of visits, esp if you're attractive
The other problem I've run into recently is that I've accumulated 500plus "friends" on Facebook, many of whom are just people I might run into on the way to class/hey how ya doin type people and like at least half of them I didn't initially request to add them so it's not like it's all me, but I'm beginning to realize that anything I post is being revealed to 500plus "friends" which is kind of like the public because, for one, word gets out fast and when I do post something and my wall/newsfeed gets automatically updated, etc., it's like I forget all the fckers I've accumulated over the years and how I may not want a couple of them (maybe a girl here or there from freshman year) to possibly know/spy(if they care) so much about me. This is why I may at times have facebook anxiety disorder aka FAD. You really gotta be careful.
Heck, I even added as a facebook friend someone recently arrested in the inner city for streetrobbery/assaultand I could see the person post on their wall like "not going out tonight because I can't be getting into trouble again" and in response to a post from a friend on his wall, he replied something like "yo man the charge I got is bs, I think lawyer can get that dropped,I didn't try to take his wallet"

She works the afternoons of the weekdays. I believe its till 8 on MWF. Then she leaves a little bit earlier on T and TH. But I cant confirm this. I mostly go in for coffee at around 5 to 6 pm. Today the plan is ask her what shes doing for the weekend. Then I'll take it from there.
