Agree that it's unlikely he makes the team, but the year before Abdi made the Olympic team he finished 26th at Boston, 12th American, 9:45 behind the top American in 2:18:56.

Given the recent Meb/Abdi examples, it seems like Rupp would have a prayer.

He obviously genuinely loves the sport. I hope he keeps going for as long as he is getting paid decently.
