The title was originally "Pre Nats move to Fri". We added more to it to make it mroe descriptive. Here is a weather forecast that shows a 45% chance of thunderstorms. Columbia, MO Local Weather | AccuWeather
I'll give them the benefit of the doubt because this is tornado territory. Bad storms doesn't just mean rain, it means potential tornado. Remember when Kansas hosted west regional and there was a tornado delay for the 10,000m to the next morning?

The storms must be really bad. It even affected them uploading the race results to TRFFS.
We went on Friday. it was a beautiful day and the course was in great shape. we are from St.louis which is 2 hours east of Columbia. it rained all day on Saturday, 12+ hours. At times it rained really hard for extended amount of times. There was lighting throughout the day. I can not imagine Columbia did not experience the same conditions. If the meet had been Saturday it would have been miserable. I don’t know what the drainage is like on the course but I have a hard time believing it can handle that much water.
I was disappointed the meet was moved I understand why.
How dense are you. It wasn't a rain issue. It was a lightning...or the potential for lightning...issue. That leads to a liability issue. Didn't you act as a coach for some XC team at the collegiate level plus receive an Ivy League education?

Try and show it once in a while.
Yes, Honor Ivy grad here. Do you know how to read?
I'm well aware it was a lightning issue and looking at after looking at that report was well aware it looks like it would have been tough to get the meet in between the lightning. I'm not sure what happened between 9:54 am and 1:42 pm.
