He clearly puts in quite a bit of training, it's impressive someone who has invested so much of his life into music is choosing and following through with doing that much marathon training.
He was running with a phone in his hand and wearing a long sleeve T shirt. He didn't put in that much training. He has good genes. Running sub 3 is not that hard.
The long sleeve T-shirt was ridiculous given the weather.
But probably necessary because he has very recognizable tattoos on his left arm.
I thought you had to qualify for Berlin? How did he get in.
Anyway I am not impressed. With his money and free time he should be running faster.
Money can do alot of things, including making women stay around you longer. But physiologically, it can only help someone so much with their running performance. Even those who buy their way to the top of everest with sherpas have to do some degree of physical labor and exertion to get there.

I think money might've had a greater part in this than people want to admit. With his wealth and career, he can afford to sleep in, eat only the healthiest foods, and never train in old shoes. Additionally his trainer (hopefully) would be top-notch, and his pacers (if he had any) did a fantastic job.

He is always in the news banging new chick. Let's see. Hot chick vs running? What would you choose.
I don't know, if he used his real name it would have received press before the race.
2:59 is really good for a celebrity that can spend all of their time doing a lot of things more fun than running, but I don't know if it means he has extreme talent. He has talent for sure, but at 31 years old and probably <150lbs with his resources and 40-50mpw, a 2:59 seems like a B+ effort.
I heard it was hot, so I'd probably bump it up to an A- for the average 31 year old runner. It's an A+ for the celebrity category.
