Not anymore. Up until a few years ago there was only a grass field; they have since put in a 200m track there for warmups.
oh nice - yeah I see that on google maps now! Well no excuses now right ;)
No hopefully any rain is just spotty and intermittent - it won't be great for sprinters because it's more a mental thing with them, but we should still get really good results in these 800's and the 5
Being serious? He is clearly on the AIU's watchlist of the "interesting athletes" - in the same way Ruth Chepng'etich was. In particular at the DL the doping control protocols are much stricter (most testing and more testers, more professional) and so I'd say they are just conveniently keeping away from these meets because it's not worth the hassle. Hasn't raced in over a month - wonder if we will see him in Zurich?
The most "unique" thing about Sedjati is not meet selection (he does almost all DLs/gold meetings), but rather his unorthodox, highly abbreviated competition blocks. No indoors, no early DLs. He'll open in a big spot, then a lot of competitions in a short span. Then he'll resurface for the Championships months later after no competitions. Cynically, of course you could say there is a method to that.
Contrast with Wanyonyi who does Cross Country, road races, early season DLs. Or Arop/Hoppel who dabble with indoors and other early-season stuff.
