Well if 7-8 dopers were in the field today, there can be no doubt that Hoey is one of them.
possibly, and wanyonyi is the biggest of them all.... its so obvious the dude is on full throttle EPO and has the "olympic champ protection" now, every kenyan we should be way more suspicious of
Come on, if you try hard you can achieve your dreams! - Josh Hoey
“Poetic” is an interesting way to spell “suspicious”. I’ve always been hesitant to accuse anyone but it’s a bad American habit to point out international athlete’s too-good-to-be-true performances while defending our own and I’m just conflicted.
Bro he’s doped to the gills. Google Sean Callus and the Indian track doping underground ring.
he was one of their top recruits. He’s on everything the horse has for your sister and more
Wanyonyi’s coach is Berardelli. Nuff said. Arop ran 51.1/50.1 in Paris, but he too has protective coloring.

I’m paraphrasing but what a load of 💩
Him and the other American middle distance runners are all loads of bs, full of shyt. Can't believe after each race they are obliged to perform more theater for the media so we have the first shyt which was the race itself doped up and the second shyt the media theater. Is that all the job of a professional distance runner or trickster?
Ridiculous, honestly. WAY faster than any spoiled suburban white boy should NATURALLY be…
Just be honest with ya'll, Josh Hoey is no different from Mickey Mouse from toontown magic kingdom. He is unreal, unnatural progression, isn't he trained under the same coach as Peter Bol who was found with DIY doping manuals. John Rinaldi or somethin? That's a bad coach right there.

On the other hand, pause for a moment to see that full throttle EPO still can't dip under 1:41 and break Rudisha's WR? The future of this sport depends on athletes breaking the WR every month, we don't have a Babe Ruth or Barry Bonds in baseball or a Lebron and Jordan in basketball, it's the WR or bust. That's what EPO is for and comes in useful. If it doesn't work, the labs just produce a stronger EPO molecule and get Wanyonyi under 1:41.
Just proves once again that no American can break 1:42. It's a hard limit.
The next AR will be 1:42.01, then eventually 1:42.00 and done.
Go study the laws of physics first and read current affairs news on bicarb before you comment. Bicarb is EXTREMELYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY POWERFUL AID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Probably anywhere between 2-5 seconds in the 800m and 3-7 seconds in 1500m!!!!!!!! I was ignorant in the past because I thought I'm the King of the Boards, a know-it-all, which was my downfall because I prevented myself from doing some more research and learning you feelin me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now I'm telling you bicarb is a most under-rated legal PED out there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Consume it and you will see all-round benefits for your cells and membranes including a sure cure for erectile dysfunction if it's relevant to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You can't tell difference between a PED and regular baking powder? "2-5 seconds in the 800m and 3-7 seconds in the 1500m" you must have lost your mind. Are you just guessing or any hard data to back that up? I know a few coaches lauding its benefits but as far as I know they don't go that far to say 2-5s or 3-7s. The 800m is a sprint event and it won and lost by tenths and hundreths second not 2-5 seconds. I think a good estimate for the baking powder is not more than the difference in time between 1st and 2nd place here.

I think he meant the combination of supershoes, super tracks AND bicarb produces 2-5 seconds for the 800m and 3-7 for the 1500m. A 3:35 1500m guy can be 3:29 thereabouts. I don't think we can view times and performances in isolation because in what world can we feasibly separate supershoes from super tracks from bicarb? Technology and nutritional aids usually come simultaneously and their benefits expound on top of the other.
Look at it this way, a 1500m runner could not progress from 3:35 to 3:29 with only supershoes and supertracks but with additional bicarb he can do it. He runs like 3:31 and change without bicarb. If we do it the other way the same runner now taking bicarb regularly but no supershoes and supertracks might only run 3:32-3:33 and if we gave him those 2 he runs 3:29.
The bicarb seems to enhance supershoes and supertracks and vice versa.
2nd place in one of the greatest 800m fields ever.
1:42.01 moves him up to #11 all-time.
1:42.43 was his previous best.
And he didn't have a perfect trip losing some ground around 200 in.
1. Emmanuel Wanyonyi - KEN - 1:41.44 [MR WL] 2. Josh Hoey - USA - 1:42.01 [PB] 3. Djamel Sedjati - ALG - 1:42.20 [SB] 4. Peter Bol - AUS - 1:42.55 [AR] 5. Marco Arop - CAN - 1:42.73 [SB] 6. Slimane Moula - ALG - 1:42.86 7. Bryce Hoppel - USA - 1:43.51 8. Tshepiso Masalela - BOT - 1:43.82 9. Mohamed Attaoui - ESP - 1:43.99 10. Gabriel Tual - FRA - 1:44.17 11. Max Burgin - GBR - 1:47.71 DNF. Patryk Sieradzki - POL - DNF
Are you trippin? Greatest 800m fields ever? No WR, only 1 PB, Max Burgin blowing up big, only 2 SBs? I would expect to see 11 PBs for each and every single and the WR for the 1st guy.
He didn't lose any ground at the 200m mark. That was a nothing burger, just a mountain out of a molehill for you here? It's not even on par with Hocker's trip up with Kessler at Pre classic last year, he sidestepped without completely going to a halt and resumed the race and had lots of time to run comfortable the rest of the journey. He did not sidestepped in the final 50m of the race so what are you talking about?
Wejo we expect better and more accurate field reporting and description from a veteran like you. This is quite clumsy and off target from you.
Hoey ran really smart as Sedjati/Arop completely overthought it. Prepare to go out hard and hang with Wanyonyi as long as possible.
Hoey closed on Wanyonyi but so did Sedjati. Had Sedjati not went from middle of lane 3 to outside of lane 1 in the last 70m he would have beaten Hoey who was slowing down. Poor race execution by Sedjati caused him the 2nd place. Athletes under pressure can't run a straight line and need to bump up against another runner. We saw that with Faith Kipyegon and Gudaf Tsegay last year in Paris. Tsegay got tired and couldn't mind her own lane and went into Faith to try to tire her out as well. This is all subconscious racing psychology during fatigued spells.
I hope he breaks 1:40. It would be marvelously poetic.
Seven years with a pb of 1:47, and then he improves by 7 seconds to go under 1:40.
Hopefully, at age 27.
7 years with a 1:47 PB & now .02 away from sub-1:42. Almost unbelievable. I think 3-0 against Bryce Hoppel in DL races when he had never really been close to him in prior years.

Same coach as Peter Bol who had a DIY EPO recipe. Yes, Josh Hoey is tainted from balls to gills no doubt.

To be fair,he ran 1.47 as an 18 year old, which shows real talent. Surely he should be able to run at least under 1.45 as a senior, unless he peaked too young. Strange that he was stuck at 1.47 for all those years, although i read he was injured, and changed coaches a lot.
2nd place in one of the greatest 800m fields ever.
It was an excellent quality Diamond League 800 field, but the only reason you would call it one of the "greatest 800m fields ever" is because 800m times are faster now due to shoes, bicarb, etc. An effort that used to get you a 1:44 now gets you a 1:42 or 1:43. If you add a second or 2 to everybody's time, it looks like just another high-quality 800.
Ridiculous, honestly. WAY faster than any spoiled suburban white boy should NATURALLY be…

“DIY” says it all. It’s likely true that Bol doped of his own accord, not telling Rinaldi. Also likely when Bol met Africans they told him not to worry as they are very aware of officials in high position letting them cheat, so he decided to go for it.
