Solid…sounds like slightly less optimal weather than the Ten but still decent for guys who are good in warm modest humidity

Is that really a good result from Mantz? Cairess, who’s slower than Mantz over the marathon but definitely still a marathoner, solo’d faster than that at UK champs this year in pretty unforgiving conditions

I might be misremembering, but hasn't there been ambiguity or personal preference in what you consider a collegiate record for decades? (For example, did Henry Rono's summer times count?)

It seems OK what did Cairess do it in? This was around 70-71 which isn’t ideal for a Utah-based guy I wouldn’t think.
