The black Nuguse and Mu have never had their ages questioned, just as the white Ingebrigtsen hasn't. I wonder what's different about someone born in America or Norway vs rural Kenya?

Gout Gout's age has been constantly questioned despite being born in Australia.
I agree that the physical appearance test isn’t the best, and Koech also has a unique bouncy form that seems maybe a little rough around the edges like a younger athlete, but also a 3:27 at 18 is inconceivable. If an American highschooler ran 3:27 (converts to 3:45 mile) to break Webb’s record by almost 8 seconds, this website would probably spontaneously combust. So either a) Koech is a literal one in a trillion talent, b) he is doped to the actual moon, or c) he is lying about his age (which is still not a full explanation for how he came out of nowhere). Or the most likely option, a combination of the three.
From zero USA active runners under 3:30 to 4 in matter of 2 years is wild.
Yared, Hocker, Hobbs, now Hoey. Remember when Yared set the record in June 2023 at 3:29.02? My goodness, seems like decades ago. USA's finals will be wild with these other pros / college kids in the mix.
Good points, I think that the rounds at the Trials will be tough because of all the good college guys that get better timing this year. And the 800 is super competitive also; will guys double or will it be too hard this year?
The meet is too short/compressed to allow doubling.
What sites would someone use for testing? For VP, to retrieve the serum for testing?
I'm always curious how the marks can be hidden if people are being tested or given "therapies" frequently
I'm not sure what you mean in the first part of your comment. I assume in the last sentence you're talking about EPO injections leaving a mark on the skin?
I've long thought that with the advances in AI, this would be a good route to develop a new anti-doping method of detection. Surely injections must leave some mark on the skin for a day or two, even if it isn't visible to the naked eye?
I've run through some photos of guys like Manangoi and Katir in ChatGPT and got some interesting results.
However, I guess cheaters could start injecting into their butts, if they aren't already.

Not as of last update, but if he requested to join the ADAK pool to represent Kenya, he’d be on test 2 by now from them. He also would be tested at Paris to validate the World U20 record

a) The big pro teams do their own testing, see Canova + Rosa + Salazar.
b) Just have a look at the detailed decisions on various blood dopers. They often include the AIU blood tests going back several years. The simple trick is to not get too greedy with your transfusions so you do not get flagged.
Kipruto is a great example for that. They had to watch him for 5 years until they had enough ABP violations to make a case. He obviously was just a tad too greedy (see point 24 about his "biological markers" between 2018 and 2022 in the decision from 28 May 2024); had he limited his transfusions to 3/4 of whatever much he used, he'd still be out there cheating and competing (but maybe not as much winning). E.g. he only went 4 times in those years above his individualized upper HGB limit, and that usually only by a few percent.
Isaac Nader barely even getting a mention in this thread is criminal. He wasn't far off from closing on Koech and has been having a great season overall. Won the Dream Mile in Oslo OVER Myers, and recently ran a PB of 1:43.8 in the 800 as well
