Probably more relevant to the speed discussion is Syd's 22.07 (-0.3). That's World Class™ 200m speed which Femke doesn't have.
Re: Femke's 50.95 being ratified as a European record, that's because La Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland is at 992m, just inside athletics' definition of altitude assisted (1000m or above).
Average elevation: 1,039 m • La Chaux-de-Fonds, Neuchâtel, Switzerland • La Chaux-de-Fonds (French pronunciation: [laʃodəfɔ̃]) is a Swiss city in the canton of Neuchâtel. It is located in the Jura mountains at an altitude of...
You said "she doesn't run indoors" as if it matters. The point is that 49.1 indoors is way better than 48.7 outdoors. So if Sydney ran indoors there's no way she could beat 49.1

It's pathetic that you are still desperately trying to argue that Bol is faster than Sydney in the 400, when just about everyone except for you knows that's not the case.

Literally nobody believes that Sydney is faster, outside of a few americans

There's a YouTube channel called Hortas Sotra Track and Field. He uploads local Dutch races and has been doing so for 15 years. That's where I first saw Femke Bol, wearing very long socks in every race. She was always easy to identify from a distance in those videos based on her height and the long socks.
It's amazing to me she ever reached this level. As a teenager Bol looked like another 54 or 55 runner. She got stuck at that level for several years. The only difference was the way she did it...very slow lumbering starts followed by sustaining moderate speed for an unusually long time. I never thought she would be fast enough at 200 level for her stamina to matter over 400. I was brutally wrong. Amazing transformation.
Here is a video from 8 years ago, Bol winning a junior indoor championship. Sydney was already an Olympian at this point. That's why I never got caught up in the hype regarding Bol defeating Sydney. Everything tends to drift back to the beginning, to raw ability and natural speed:
outside of Bol fans and dutch people, everyone knows 48.75 vs 49.48, which is fast. of course BOL fans dont know it because they are sooooooo delusional and have no normal sense. lol.
As your Bol fans logic, 49.11 indoor is ‘better’ than WL 48.67 outdoor too (based on ‘score’ or whatever you believe) so you think Bol is faster than Naser? lol I see how ridiculous Bol fans are. Are you all crazy?
Mind you, Anna runs under 52 at the most important meet for a track athlete—Olympics final and cooked Bol. that’s the fact. Accept it.
seriously I mean they are at the same level to chasing Sydney. For Sydney, there’s no difference either Bol or Anna had second place. The only thing she should do is to keep 1.5-2 seconds advantage against them all.
And second remind to you, your dear Bol girl has NEVER run under 52 at Olympics final. Which means she’s not only inferior to Sydney THE GOAT but also not as good as Daliah and Anna dealing with pressure as top atheletes. she’s not that star. Is the FACT hurting you?
Based on Bol fans' logic, Bol's sudden improvement should be contributed to drug use. she's clearly using PEDs or whatever drugs to make such am improvement lol.
Lol Bol fans still think outdoors and indoors are the same event? How pathetic you are.
No, they are really not the same event in terms of ease of running fast times. There have been 58 sub 50.01s indoors and over 700 sub-50s outdoors. Bol dominates the indoor sub-50s list. Among the few others on there are world outdoor all-time #2 Jarmila Kratochvilova, whose best was 49.58. Kratochvilova, the 800m wr holder at 1:53.28, also ran a 400m wr in 47.99. Tatyana Kocembova, one of three non-Americans along with Bol and Nazarova (49.7 indoors, 49.1 out) in the top indoor ranks below 50 at 49.76, ran 48.59 and 48.73 outdoors, 17th and 26th all-time currently. The tight turns make the times quite a bit slower at 400m on down. The odds are that Bol can run at least half a second faster outdoors like the others, maybe more. But again I'm not saying that she is faster than Sydney. I think that the latter can run 48.low at her peak in championships, as she has run low-48 and high 47 in relays. Let's see Syd, Bol, and Athing Mu all lace them up for the 400m at World's and then we'll see something.
Definitely a SYD hate post here. SYD is a phenomenal athlete that races at her best. Speaks with respect about her competitors and advocates she would like to see T&F fan base grow. And yet hateful people only root for SYD to lose. The hate for her is unwarranted. Why not help the sport grow by promoting her and her character. She’s the role model I want my daughters to emulate. No controversy needed. SYD has achieved a lot and her accomplishments should be recognized but instead it’s overshadowed with hate for no reason. Best of luck to all of the competitors. I watch the sport to witness their best efforts. And some may be considered the favorite but I don’t root for anyone to lose unless they’re a known drug cheat returning to the sport with incredible performance. Best of luck to all the athletes and I do hope to see more records are broken by legit performance by any athlete.
