Isaac NADER, Portugal - 800 Metres Short Track, 1500 Metres Short Track, Mile, Mile Short Track, 10 Kilometres Road, 1500 Metres, 800 Metres, 3000 Metres
Real interesting race. Nader really smartly timed kick. Giles made a good move that had no chance of working but it did cause a large amount of carnage. Probably shuffled Tim back behind Nillesen as he now had to go wide and had some disruption to his rhythm. Myers' patience paid off as it opened up nicely. Nordas appears to be completely washed, we'll see if he goes better in Stockholm. I didn't quite get Olli completely falling back mid-race off a reasonable pace.
I think Giles messed Hoare's momentum too, as that's the moment he kept falling back... I was rooting for Hoare and he made a good move at the bell to be up top, but I guess he is lacking those extra gears :( Hope he strengthens up!
Who is Isaac Nader? That's a pretty good field he just beat.
He's strongly in the second tier, being a 3:30-31 guy consistently (in 2023 he didn't get in many DLs). This is his first DL win I believe, but he's definitely pretty good. This field didn't really have the top guys outside of Tim (who didn't have his greatest race), so I wouldn't go too crazy. Not sure when we'll see him against a top-level field? Maybe London.
honestly wouldn't be that surprised by it, absolutely the perfect weather for it, it all depends if someone is willing to take the pace once pacers drop out
