Most but not all. My son ran 1:54/4:17 junior year but received little interest so he just attended our state school due to cost. We pay about $23K per year. Out of state schools and private schools were about double the price.

No. He wanted to but he is doing okay running club.
Can’t believe no one has picked this up on LRC. The Trump administration has paused (prelude to cancelled) all applications for student visas, from any part of the world. In addition to upsetting the business model of many US colleges and universities, this will wreak havoc with the recruitment of non-US athletes, particularly in T&F, soccer football and tennis.
Just think how this week’s NCAA regionals would look with NO foreign athletes. You’d be back to the 1950’s.
Probable reaction on Let’s Run falls into the usual two groups: those who wring their hands but say “Oh, he’ll never do THAT.” “But he CAN’T do that, he’ll deprive SO many people of a US education.” And those who say: “’Bout time. Sendum all back where they came frum.”
What with NIL and NCAA payments, maybe athletes should start applying for work visas.
Thank goodness. I was tired of seeing elite times from all these internationals. We need to go back to seeing average athletes slowly develop over time to maybe rum above average times by the time they graduate.
The much bigger issue is that there are brilliant potential PhD students in science and engineering who could make a huge difference for US tech, who are now getting locked out.

lol republican propaganda and republican reality are pretty much always polar opposites. Probably the most central core tenet of republicanism is that they think they should have complete power and impose their will on everyone in all aspects of life, which is why conservative america worships Trump's authoritarian state. Talking about "small govt" is the lie they shovel out to get the idiots to vote away their rights.
Anyway, one thing is for sure, if there is something extremely stupid to do...Trump's gonna think of it and try (usually illegally) to make it happen. This is just one more example.
AMERICAN students should be the ones attending AMERICAN universities because they're funded by AMERICAN taxes.
Sigh. What you're missing is that foreign students pay the full ride. Most US students get aid of some type. Without foreign students, universities lose a lot of tuition.
If the US's problems were solved this easily, they would be solved.
Didn't Musk just have a meltdown when he found out that Trump isn't actually interested in reducing the deficit, but just wants to funnel more of the money to the super-rich?
I admit I was pretty surprised that Musk was dumb enough to have believed Trump in the first place....
Sure he caves when the billionaires pressure him, or if Putin pressures him, but other than that, he has pressed ahead on some fairly stupid ideas even in the face of opposition from some of the actually intelligent people.
