Some of the rumors are true, Sean Smyth transferred to Northern Kentucky U to continue track but to also add triathlon to the mix so no mo XC for now.

Looks like Bocovich signed a contract of sorts with some Spanish shoe company. Hard to call him a pro, but good to see he'll keep running. He has an outside chance at qualifying for US Nationals this year.
Power was spotted trundling through the arb today. Calling it a jog or even a brush walk would be generous. When will the Oles bring an actual cross country runner who doesn’t need Ozempic to right this ship? Jamie (I.e. the Edina Coach is waiting.)
The Icecoldxc IG has posted close to 100 college commitments of Minnesota athletes. You can see a few MIAC commits. Carl women have some big pickups.
Not much for the Oles. Have they abandoned recruiting Minnesota? Have the truths spoken on this message board impacted instate recruiting?
Looks like a couple decent women but not enough to replace all their graduates. Carleton may have four women ahead of their first woman.
Who’s running Grandma’s? Can Grant follow-up his MVP 5K/10K performances with a rocking debut?
Surely we’ll have a Bati sighting. Maybe Mosberg? Any other greats of MIAC past racing?
Carl women are getting a set of twins from Iowa who were state track meet qualifiers in class 4A (large school division).
Bati with a half PR to finish second at Grandma’s. Several old Oles finish five minutes back.
Lars has an outstanding debut of 2:22 to finish top 20! Graber continues his streak of negative splitting races.
Brenk, Kadrofske, Lerdall, Munir, Leo Smith all sub 72.
Good to see him have such a strong race after a tough outdoor season.
Was Lars faster than all the Oles through the half?
Lars could beat all of them in a half, but maybe not on the way to a full mary. Look for him to hit a lot of races on the road circuit this Fall. I could see a sub 2:15 next time around. Too bad he didn't chase the 10K this Spring, I'm certain he could have won by 30 seconds.
Seeing the news of Hunt and a few other D3ers going D1 makes me wonder if a stud like Goss or even an All-MIAC type guy like Turlington will forgo their last year of eligibility to transfer up
A true king for us mere MIACers wrote:

Yeah, I doubt 2:15 on his next marathon… give him a couple more tries and he might get a trials qualifier, but 2:15 is a couple steps off.
Turkington, The Future, and both Ignatius and Isaiah Fitzgerald are all rumored to be following UWL Assistant Nathan Petesch to his new job in New York. Thanks for your attention to this matter.
I admire the restraint of the Oles for not coming on here to defend themselves or their coach. It all gets a little old.
For more exciting talk. I've run a Lacctic simulation without seniors. Yes, this could be off a bit , but it is a good look at things.
The North Region Rankings are as follows:
La Crosse- 18 (could they perfect score?)
Stevens Point- 114
St. Olaf - 128
Whitewater - 140
Platteville - 164
MSOE - 199
Oshkosh - 202
Stout - 207
St. John's -256
Eau Claire - 284
I don't know whether margin of victory plays into qualifying, but I'd think the other teams would really need to do well out of Region in order to qualify.
Stevens Point ahead of Olaf is huge for that program. While they continue to improve and have brought in a top 10 recruiting class of freshmen and transfers the Oles continue to regress as Phil’s athletes are finally graduating. Power should less time on social media and more time going to high school meets. Like Thomas does. That man works.
I’m really surprised he left the Midwest. I just assumed he was waiting for the Oles to not renew Power’s contract so he could take that job.

Margin of victory should be the last ditch attempt to compare two teams who have never raced each other and don't have any common opponents. The committee should ascertain that the region is extremely competitive and that would be the reason for high scores.
Head to head vs other regions
Head to head vs same region
Common opponents
Margin of victory.
Cannot believe Chunko signed off on this. What a doofus.
I wish Power had something to do with this!! It's freaking awesome but you have to come on here and be a lame-o...

Wait are Iggy and Isaiah related?
