Nothing dumb about this comment. If you look at the race it is obvious Jane is more physically mature than most of her fellow HS competitors. As someone who started school early and graduated HS at 17, I always felt a disadvantage to students who were older, but the in the same grade.
This is why you fit in so well here on Lets Run, your insecurities with your past lead you to come on here to tear people down. Please follow this up with how much you have accomplished and how your not actually insecure. How much you make each year would also be nice to know big guy.

TMAD... is the epitome of the modern American "victim" - following the behavior of the Monarch -in-Chief - everyone else is to blame for my problems/issues because it can't be my fault. People used to take responsibility, now they just accuse others (either Libs or GOP) of things that they can resolve themselves. Holding kids that only just turned 5 from enrolling for another year so that they are more developmentally advanced and likely to perform better academically is so common there is a word used for the practice- redshirting Article on the common phenomenon:

Maybe you should have not started a year early then, eh? Then again, two of my daughters will graduate at 17 and they are not "early", just on the young side of their classes.

Saidie is almost 19 so she’s an adult. I personally don’t blame the Ventura drama on her at all though. It comes from her coach Matt Hammel. He’s been a long time problem in the area with this guy. It’s will be a relief next year when Hammel is gone. He influenced Sadie parents and it’s been awful for everyone around them.
In the H.S. all time, I drop Cain from the list and probably should not include Engelhardt's senior times as well. I don't have an issue if times are run in the summer, against pros, for club, etc., but it you are a paid professional athlete, that's where I draw the line, you can no longer be compared to H.S. amateurs.
50% of high school seniors are 18 right now. She is one of them. She is in the correct class. The 50% are adults but they are children because they are in high school.

Once again, the low those with only marginal ability to converse online immediately attack the messenger without understating any subtlety of context. Jane completely outclassed this field partially because of her age and her talent. Matching competitors with her in this race from lower class levels and age seems not in the best interest of all. I never meant to denigrate her talent just noting she like Mary Cain should not be competing at a lower level of HS talent unless in the appropriate setting.
Who says Jane is not a miler? She won the mile at Brooks PR as only a sophomore. Of course she's a miler.
You know what I mean - Jane is a distance runner who has dabbled in the mile, Sadie is a miler who occasionally dabbles in longer distances. If/when Jane focuses training on the mile the way Sadie has, you will (I believe) see even more big improvements - which feels crazy to type after she just broke the national record.

Sadie’s dad is a lawyer and got the school involved. Hence the drama at Ventura HS
I SLIGHTLY understand where you’re coming from, in the sense that I’ve genetically had a slimmer, lighter frame than most guys throughout my life…less muscularly developed, but mainly noticeable in my upper body.
With that being said, I’m sure Jane is fully aware of her physical advantages pertaining to development, as she continues to capitalize on them and set untouchable records. This awareness only leads to an upswell of confidence, as those competing around her don’t have the same physiological foundation or basic structure (Sadie is obviously closest by comparison…the polar opposite would be Addy Ritzenhein).
On the guys’ side, it’s like comparing the build of Simeon Birnbaum vs. Brodey Hasty…or Colin Sahlman vs. the Young twins, for that matter haha
