Her tiny frame is a bit of a concern for an almost 15yo. She’s very small, looks like she hasn’t even hit puberty yet and is possibly lifting.
Listen, just watch Sophia Rodriguez last night video from Oregon Relays destroying the field with what looked like a tempo run/ great form, amazing mechanics and composure and Mackenzie will be fine.
I wouldn’t call seven seconds “destroying”. Destroying is what Jane Hedengren does to fellow competitors. Sophia had a good solid race Friday night, but I was there in person and she didn’t destroy that field by any means. And it wasn’t even a super strong field to begin with.
I have seen plenty of high level competitive swimmers and she looks nothing like them. Swimmers have broad shoulders, wide wingspan. As for being average size of an almost 15 year old I would beg to differ. She looks definitely under 100lbs and I don’t know many 15 years old that weigh less than 100lbs

Go back and look at some race footage if you must, but the fields she raced in had her pretty evenly matched size-wise. A few were taller, but many were the same size. They're all pretty small. It's not a smallness contest.
Yes, 10:12 is outdoor record. Sophia did that at Nike Outdoor. Skelly can do that. She was less than 24 hours post 4:48.
Looks like Skelly ran 10:32.89 at New Balance Outdoors over 2 Miles. People underestimate how legitimate 10:12 is for an 8th grader. Nothing is guaranteed.

All it takes is a little milesplit search and you can see that this girl has been running way more than a year. She broke 5 in 6th grade, she’s going into 9th. The math ain’t mathin here. It looks like she has been running both XC and track for at least 3 years, probably more
