Some schools have everyone train together. That is what my last school did. But not every school. My current school does not. Why do you assume I am cheating? Have you checked my hormone levels? Have you checked my bone density? Have you checked my muscle mass? Have you checked my height and weight? Have you ever checked my chromosomes? Because I will tell you that there is a pretty high chance I have De La Chappeles syndrome, which means that I would have XX chromosomes.
If that is indeed your condition, then you have nothing to worry about, as XX = female and you would not be trans. Pretty easy to get that checked (most would know by adolescence or earlier in this country). There is no need to deal in theoreticals. I always felt running JV would be a fair compromise (although I wouldn’t support XY in girl’s contact sports other than recreational / intramural where there is an understanding among participants of the risks). So I will concede you JV for trans if you concede that trans taking championships and varsity opportunities away from biologic girls is not right.
De la Chapelle syndrome is an extremely rare disorder or difference of sex development (DSD) in which individuals with an XX karyotype develop as males.
Other names for de la Chapelle are XX male syndrome and 46,XX testicular disorder.
XX male syndrome occurs in approximately 1:20,000 to 1:25,000 of male births.
In 80-90% of cases, XX male syndrome is caused when the SRY gene, or a large fragment of it, gets broken off one of the father’s Y chromosome sperm cells and ends up on one of his X sperm cells.
Also known as “testis determining factor,” the SRY gene is normally on the Y chromosome. But every once in a blue moon, the SRY or part of it ends up on an X chromosome.
Conversely, every so often but still very rarely, a person with XY chromosomes ends up with a Y that's missing the SRY gene or has an SRY that doesn't work. That's Swyer syndrome, aka XY female syndrome. Individuals with Swyer develop largely as females, although not fully because they don't have a full-sized uterus, fully-developed Fallopian tubes or functioning ovaries. They don't have functioning gonads of either kind. Instead, they have bits of undeveloped, nonfunctional tissue known as streak gonads. When they reach the age of puberty of adolescence, persons with Swyer syndrome have to take exogenous estrogen (and often progesterone) to develop to be healthy and to look like "normal" females.
But back to de la Chapelle syndrome: In the 10-20% of cases that aren’t caused by a translocation of the SRY gene in whole or in part, XX male syndrome is caused by unusual behavior of another one of the pivotal genes involved in testis formation and male development, such as the SOX9 gene on chromosome 17.
The vast majority of individuals with de la Chapelle are born with genitals that are unambiguously male - although the urethra might open in the base or underside of the penis rather than the tip (hypospadias) and one or both testes might not have descended all the way down into the scrotum (cryptorchidism).
Individuals with de la Chapelle also have normal internal male reproductive organs and no female reproductive organs.
Even if one of both their testes are undescended or partially descended at the time of birth, the testes of persons with de la Chapelle function normally during prenatal development and the stage of male development known as male mini puberty of infancy that occurs in the first year after birth. Meaning their testes produce massive amounts of testosterone as well as anti-Mullerian hormone as normal during those crucial early phases of male development.
However, during puberty of adolescence and afterwards, individuals with de la Chappelle typically suffer from hypogonadism. Their testes fail to enlarge, don't produce normal amounts of testosterone for males their age, and don’t make viable sperm. As a result, boys and men with de la Chappelle often experience stunted growth, gynecomastia, sterility and impaired bone density.
The majority of males who’ve been diagnosed with de la Chappelle found out they had the condition after they’ve made efforts to impregnate their female partners but couldn’t, so they went to infertility specialists for evaluation.
However, with prenatal genetic testing especially through the NIPT becoming increasingly popular amongst pregnant women who have access to it, XX male syndrome is now much more likely to be detetected and diagnosed in infancy than previously.
The standard treatment for de la Chapelle syndrome is supplementation with exogenous testosterone during adolescence and adulthood. Exogenous T is not necessary during infancy because boys with de la Chapelle development normal-sized, fully functioning testes as fetuses and they're born with their testes still in good working order, so they go through normal male mini puberty of infancy as expected. It's only during adolescence and afterwards that their testicles don't fuction up to par.
So the upshot is: XX = female nearly 100% of the time, but not always.
Also, for the record: one out of every 1,000 human females is 47, XXX. Some females have have only one X chromsome (45,X or Turner syndrome). Some females have chromosomal mosaicism.

You just posted your annual thread where you come out in favor of letting women's track turn into a side show while the men get all the attention in separate meets. So maybe sit this one out.
Umm.. are you confusing me with Lenny Leonard? I disagreed with him on that thread.
Two people who disagree with you may disagree with each other. A novel concept to you, right?
Hey look, MORE LRC BS right wing propaganda and fake culture war garbage.
'Hey fellow Oligarch, let's keep the little people at each others' throats through the endless pumping of BS culture wars so we can steal ALL of the money from EVERYONE and gut the country while destroying democracy.'
'H3ll yeah, fellow Oligarch. Scr3w everyone but us richest.'
Lot of right-wingers here and they like to fall back on trans issues.
There won’t be a grand bargain. If we allow for people to “change” their gender/sex, we have to allow it across the board. It makes no sense to tell people, “Yes we acknowledge your power to be whatever gender you want. Except of course in sports, where we adhere to rigid sex distinctions.” The activists won’t accept it as they will see it (correctly) as hypocrisy.
It’s not hypocrisy, it’s science.
I’m talking about culture, not science. I’m saying trans activists and their leftist enablers won’t accept half a loaf. Their goal to control nature itself won’t allow them to be content with having their identity acknowledged everywhere but the sports field. That’s why I say there will be no compromise. Leftist activists have done this to us.
So the upshot is: XX = female nearly 100% of the time, but not always.

Oh my, so much for the sex binary. Are we feeling intersexy today?

It’s transympathy apathy, sort of like how all black or Asian people look the same to some.
Between the Biden admin scraping the Title IX guidance, Trump threatening to cut funding to schools that allow delusional boys to play on girls’ teams, and the “trans rights” movement completely jumping the shark in the last 6 months, this will no longer be an issue in just about a month’s time.
Adios!
While I’m not a Trump guy, my hope is that this gets put to bed during this next administration. The title of the article is about parents going after a school board for ‘allowing’ trans athletes to compete as they identify. There’s simply no concrete guidance for institutions on trans athletes. The repeated lawsuits side with the trans athletes.
What needs to happen:
1. A federal law prohibiting biological males from participating in women’s sports.
2. Lawsuits go through the courts and end up in the US Supreme Court.
3. The Supreme Court upholds the law.
Until this happens, nobody should be terrorizing the NCAA, a state high school league, or a school board.
The legal guidance needs to be concrete.
if the Republicans don’t pass a federal law, it’s because they want the fighting going on at the local level (as a distraction to keep your focus away from the fact that they’re raising taxes on all but the top 5% while running up the federal deficit).

That's a bingo.
They want you focusing on it and arguing about it while they rob you and the country blind.
All of the culture war garbage, it's all a distraction.

Yesterday, the US Department of Education issued this press release withdrawing the Biden admin's proposed new rule that would have made it a violation of Title IX for schools to ban males like 3a from female school sports across the board:
The release says that the Title IX regulations about school sports and sex originally issued in the 1970s - and which were taken as bedrock until the Obama and Biden admins tried to change Title IX so that participation in school sports would be based on "gender identity" rather than sex - are now back in force:
To the extent the Department receives complaints of discrimination about a recipient’s obligation to provide equal opportunity to participate in athletics regardless of sex, it will continue to apply the longstanding legal standards reflected in the athletics regulations at 34 CFR 106.41 and in U.S. Dep’t of Health, Educ., and Welfare, Office for Civil Rights, A Policy Interpretation: Title IX and Intercollegiate Athletics, 44 FR 71413 (Dec. 11, 1979)
The implementation regulations issued for Title IX in 1979 (which largely pertained to college and especially intercollegiate sports) added to and clarified the original regulations issued in 1975, but did not supplant the 1975 regs.
The 1970s-era regulations say very clearly that US schools and other institutions subject to Title IX can prohibit males from competing in female school sports.
A school may preclude males or females from participating on teams for the other sex if athletic opportunities have not been limited in the past for them, regardless of whether the sport is contact or noncontact.
The implementation regulations issued in the 1970s also say that Title IX covers pretty much all schools in the USA and Title IX trumps local and state laws and policies that conflict with it.
Title IX is that portion of the Education Amendments of 1972 which forbids discrimination on the basis of sex in educational programs or activities which receive Federal funds.
Who is covered by Title IX? Virtually every college, university, elementary and secondary school and preschool is covered by some portion of the law. Many clubs and other organizations receive Federal funds for educational programs and activities and likewise are covered by Title IX in some manner.
Title IX preempts all state or local laws or other requirements which conflict with Title IX.
Between the Biden admin scraping the Title IX guidance, Trump threatening to cut funding to schools that allow delusional boys to play on girls’ teams, and the “trans rights” movement completely jumping the shark in the last 6 months, this will no longer be an issue in just about a month’s time.

From a paper about the 1979 regulations that the US DoEd says now are back in force:
Since 1979, one way in which eligible educational institutions can show compliance with Title IX is by demonstrating that the institution‘s present program ―"fully and effectively" accommodates the "interests and abilities" of the sex that is underrepresented among intercollegiate athletes.
Eligible educational institutions could also demonstrate compliance by either providing interscholastic participation opportunities for male and female students in numbers "substantially proportionate" to their respective enrollments or by showing "a history and continuing practice" of expanding these opportunities in a manner demonstrably responsive to the developing interest and abilities of the members of the underrepresented sex.
Males are not the sex that has ever been underrepresented in intercollegiate sports or in interscholastic sports in lower, middle and high school.
Males who say they have a trans, nonbinary or other gender identity different to their sex have never been excluded from school sports. They've always been allowed to participate in school sports according to their sex and in mixed sex aka co-ed sports. They've only been excluded from female sports.
Virtually all the males who've used gender identity claims to compete in girls' and women's schools sports in recent years - such as CeCe Telfer, Lia Thomas, June Eastwood, Terry Miller, Andraya Yearwood, Parker Tirrell, Redmond Sullivan, Sadie Schriener - took part in boys' and/or men's school sports before they decided to switch to female sports.
Males who don't want to participate in either male sports or co-ed sports have always been free to campaign for, start and build school additional school sports programs tailor-made for them just the way girls and women have had to do.

This is INCORRECT. Those people get more media coverage precisely because they have competed on the men's / boys teams before. Those who have never competed on men's / boys teams usually go unnoticed unless they come out voluntarily, or they are outed against their wishes for one reason or another.
You criticize the former as paws of attention-seeking parents. But you celebrate the rightwing media who dox the latter. So it is perfectly okay for the rightwing media to expose the private information of minors for the purpose of vilifying them. But it is a horrible offense if parents share the private information of their kids to the purpose of advocating for the rights of their kids.
This kid played three years of varsity basketball and two years of varsity soccer and graduated from high school this year. Never player any sport on the boys' team.
