He never will. He is not and never will be good enough. This is the big leagues and Jakob cannot beat the big boys.
That isn't even a viable as a "dumb troll" stance and you know it. You can be a good troll if you work on it, but this was not great. You can (and will) do better! Never give up on your dreams.
Bonus Question: if you could have only one of Jakob's skills or achievements, which one would it be?
Olympic Gold in the 1500m
Olympic Gold in the 5000m
3000m World Record of 7:17 (breaking Komen's iconic record)
This is most likely a troll, but it seems strange to suggest that an athlete who has won three consecutive 5000m global titles will "never" win a 10,000m global title.
Not strange at all. How many 10000m titles did Komen, Ngugi, Hicham, Lagat, Aouita, Kirui, Kipchoge etc win?
Aouita was ranked #1 in the world in the 10000m in 1986.
It will be fun to review threads like this in 4 years time, but probably not for the reasons that Ingebrigtsen's fans are suggesting here.
Aw, how nice of you to say that you will think back to his EC gold in 4 years!
I can be fairly sure he won't be accomplishing anything like what his fans think he will in the next 4 years. He is unlikely to win another global 1500 championship final and he won't succeed at 10k up. There are no indications he will get the 5k record, either.

There have already been threads like this one, 4 years ago, where you have been proven wrong.
He got two records that many thought he wouldn't get - the 3k and 2 mile. He has also lost every global 1500 championship final since. None of it means he will achieve all the fantasies his fans dream of in the next 4 years.

No informed follower of the sport was surprised that he got those two records.
I feel like people cooled on his 10,000m potential after his HM, but make no mistake, he will absolutely win WC / Olympic gold at that distance.
I don't think anyone really cooled on his 10km potential after that race where he went with the leaders through 10k (hitting the national record) in route to a respectable enough HM time (given the circumstances) right after a hard track race.
Jakob is not built for the longer distances as he is too tall and bulky. He is more about speed and power which also he doesn’t have as much compared to my baby boy Josh Kerr💕
do you see Josh winning an Olympic 10k? I’m sure you don’t.

Have you watched his last victory?
DL is not an Olympic or WC final. He hasn't won any of the big ones in the 1500 in years. He may never again.

Nonsense.
He
- won the last three global finals at the distance against a bunch of 12:35 - 12:45 runners
- destroyed the WRs at both 3000m and 2 Miles
- has run 12:48.45 at age 20 when he didn't had the fitness level he has now
- has concentrated on fast times so far in his career only in the shorter events from 1500m to 2 Miles
- has shown good endurance on several occasions like the recent European cross
I would estimate his chances to run sub 12:35.36 during his career at around 40% and to get the WR at around 30% (others might break it before).
No improvement in 12:48 in 3 years. Winning a few tactical races doesn't get him any nearer Cheptegei's wr. He doesn't have the endurance of a true 5k/10k runner so it is unlikely he will break the 5k record.

Yes, they were. The records were regarded as virtually unbeatable as they were widely believed to be doped. So I guess that tells us what many have always suspected about Ingebrigtsen.
