China can't feed itself or produce its own energy.
The US can do both.
I wouldn't bet on China in a trade war with the US.
The only downside America has is that half the country will openly be rooting for and supporting any nation that opposes Trump.
The only downside is that you want the federal government to make your purchasing decisions for you.
On second thought, perhaps that is not a downside. After all, you are an imbecile. Perhaps you need the federal government to be telling you what to do.
LoL.....The self loathing Dimms hate their country so much that they are HOPING Trump fails and the country suffers. Listen to them grousing and whining like little impotent eunuchs.
Actually, the non-Trumpettes like to make their own purchasing decisions without the federal government telling them what to purchase.
Why do you need the federal government to make your purchasing decisions for you?
I think the reason Trump loves tariffs is that he knows he can make people believe that tariffs are a tax that you can charge to other countries.
FYI, they are not. Tariffs are a tax charged to American companies. Full stop. Mexico does not pay the US a cent for American tariffs on Mexican products.
Trump frames them as "tariffs charged to Mexico", which is a blatant lie. The MSM backs him up by framing them as "the threat of tariffs on Mexico". This is a subtler lie, but they still want their viewers to believe him.
Even though they hurt the American economy (like they did the first time), Trump can use them to frame himself as "tough on trade". Remember, he doesn't care what actually happens to the country; he cares whether people think he does a good job. As long as he lies and people believe him, and no one on the other side calls him out for lying, and instead just says "his rhetoric is problematic" etc, he achieves his goal.
Can't wait for the moment when all these Trumpists realize that they got conned.
Unlikely to happen. Most people's problems are rooted in their own poor decisions, and Trump has simply given them someone else to blame. They'll move on to the next Boogeyman if things don't get better.
I have ventured outside the borders of LR and have been informed that WE will wind up paying for the effects of tarrifs. That the top dogs will benefit politically and we will as always end up paying for it. Health, Insurance, Elderly care, medicinal drugs, taxes, Education, everything that this country puts on the backs of the average citizen? When are we gonna see relief and healthy changes? Jan 21?

Prices have already been jack up in preparation of the tariffs. It the same thing that happens when an oil prices are assumed to go up. Gouge now, very fast. Reduce prices later very slowly.

Sure. And the increased prices now? Biden will be blamed.
See, with this crew that's how it works: Anything bad that happens between now and Jan. 20 (and beyond, actually) will be Biden's fault; anything good will have resulted from Trump's having been elected.
The self loathing Dimms hate their country so much that they are HOPING Trump fails and the country suffers.
The one who's been hoping the country suffers is Donald Trump. He literally hoped for a recession (under Biden), so that he "wouldn't be Herbert Hoover."
Can't wait for the moment when all these Trumpists realize that they got conned.
Im afraid that history will take longer than usual to set this era in perspective, so virulent and pervasive are the effects of The Trump Syndrome. Even many insane people are aware of their condition, but this thing is more insidious, hidden deeper: it rewards basic insecurity and inferiority complexes and promises a subtle form of salvation and equality. Only time and empathy will possibly restore balance. We all have to take a huge breath, count to a million, smile--even if awkwardly🥹and find common humanity. Otherwise, we're fecked.
