Background : Youth violence is a major global public health problem. Three UK and Swedish studies suggest that low resting heart rate predicts male youth violence, but this has not been tested in other social settings nor for...
61 years, RHR is 39-42. I am not a distance runner, but I do cardio runs for fun 2x-3x / week.
I have never run more than 25 miles/week (current), and usually it has been a lot less; as a sprinter / decathlete / weightlifter, most of my lifetime running has been trackwork under 250m, or intervals... or basketball.
Low RHR just runs in my family, it has to be largely genetic.
OP, there can be only one reason your heart keeps telling you the numbers 45 and 47. And that is because your heart belongs to DONALD TRUMP, the 45th and 47th president of the United States.
Age 63. Max heart rate 176 recorded. Ave 7-day RHR 49. Have seen it as low as 38 though this year. Went and got a checkup and wore a heart monitor for a couple of weeks just to see if I was ok and they said everything was fine. My dad had a mild stroke because his was in the 20's when he was older so I'm watching it. Some of my low heart rate is due to pvcs causing the heart to appear to skip beats.
78bpm, 17 years old. Seems high to me but haven't had problems. You guys have 35bpm? I bet Jimmy carter has that too. lol. Doesn't seem like something to brag about, having slow low T blood-flow.
My average resting heart rate is 33 bpm as a 21 y/o. However I have friends who are much fitter than me with much higher heart rates. I think it is mostly genetics.
What I remember from my swimming coach is that swimmers HR is always very low during resting. Mine is always 40-45 during resting, and Im 34. Also, my body temperature is always around 35 degrees ( normal is 36.5 ). I think this may have to do with genetics too.
