Can we all agree enough time has passed to confirm this pro group idea was total bogus?
I was rooting for Brosnan because I am a high school coach with the same aspirations. His success would prove it's possible for me too.
But everything about his pro group appeared to be lies.
It is coming up on 2 full years since he's actually coached anyone. No company is going to give him a pro group without more recent success when there are dozens of college coaches out there breaking records.
At a minimum he needs to take Aaron Sahlman and get him into some meets unattached, if Aaron doesn't want to do school, fine. He can run track and become an electrician, or learn a trade, but I need to see Aaron beat his PR's from junior year of high school.

That's not true. Even if Sean Brosnan was able to start a pro group that wouldn't mean that it would "prove" that some other high school coach could do the same thing.
There are thousands of high school coaches and only a handful of pro groups. 99.99% of high school coaches will never coach a pro group. Sorry to burst your bubble.

At this point, he's probably had to put aside or postpone his "pro training group" plans because his (formerly self-published) book on coaching Newbury Park got picked up by a big publisher. If it does Running with the Buffaloes business, it could create a lot of opportunities outside coaching. He may be working on additional material ahead of publication, preparing for a promotional tour, and lining up ancillary work like speaking engagements and consulting gigs — you know, stuff like "Sean Brosnan shares his secrets for coaching high-schoolers in this special paid webinar" or what have you. The book's out in September.

OK, he's not deciding to postpone or put aside his pro training group and his book has nothing to do with when or whether he ever gets a group. The deciding factors are 1 - funding and 2- athletes. He has neither.
You're making it sound like he's going to have some best selling book that'll be highly publicized and promoted. This thing is going to be some niche book that sells a a couple thousand copies if he's lucky. He'll probably make a few hundred dollars in royalties. He's not going to be on Good Morning America or have Oprah stick it on her list. Get real.
He also previously said he wouldn't do clinics. However, at some point gotta pay some bills I'm sure.

I’ve been saying this for a while. There’s a clear path for Nico Young to train under Brosnan once Nike say he can no longer train with Mike Smith.
Grant has set the blueprint by training under Mike Scannel. Once Nico has success under Brosnan, pro’s will be chomping at the bit to train under him too.
