I have a brother who very likely has narcissistic personality disorder. For years my mom who is a nurse has said she thinks he has autism but I think its easier for her to just say its autism and not plain old narcissism.
Makes me wonder if it isn't similar thing going on here. Masking narcissism with autism in order to gain sympathy from others and explain away odd narcissistic behavior.

I don't think people realize how insane this is. It would be one thing if she or anyone else was doing this in their own bubble infested with their own thoughts. But both of them working together and never questioning the other on how crazy they are is on the highest level of shamelessness.
