The Utah powerhouse teams get to train at altitude. If anything is unfair, i would say its that.
Also, a ton of the top teams are private schools that recruit OR are monster 4000+ kid regional high schools.
Also, even public schools that don't recruit get "transfers" all the time. In 2022 NP got a state champion miler to transfer from florida. Herriman had transfers this year from other private schools.
I know they, like York, have had years of success. I know the top York runners, but who are some of the top CBA runners during this run?
York is the most washed high school XC program in American history
May or may not be the “most” washed “in American History”, who knows. Other programs in that category are Arcadia, Great Oak, Newbury Park, Loudoun Valley, and FM NY (this program still has the same coach that they had before)
FM NY is definitely the most washed, and I’m a New Yorker. Their girls team has done okay, but the boys team can barely get 7 runners. Just crazy when you look back on those years of dominance.
Movement is life. Check any health, medical, rehab, post surgery or treatment program *current* and you will see advice to exercise, mobilize, or move whatever and however you can to maintain or recover body functions. The only thing different for us oldies (70+) is intensity and amount. Probably "no sudden moves, avoid falls, pay attention and plan that step up or down--avoid ladders and rope bridges!😏
But hang in there and keep on keepin on however you can, use it or lose it!
