There is a world of a difference going from running 59 second laps to running 54 second ones alright!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! His legs don't have the power required to sustain 54 second laps despite supershoes, unlike EL G without supershoes!!!!! El G would have gotten the 3k WR had he ran it earlier in his career. He ran 7:23 in 2003 if I'm not wrong, where he was much much older than in 1998 and 1999. Had he ran it in 1998 he would have ran 7:15 probably. Double 3:37s is very easy jog for a 3:26:00 guy!!!!!!
