who the h#$% dresses like that around their dad? and half-brother.
I'm not complaining, nor suggesting these girls wear something else.
But if you step back and think about it, it's wild how wearing a thong on the beach has been normalised. There's no male equivalent to this sort of clothing.

Speedos are similar.
Speedos are more akin to normal bikini bottoms.
Again, not complaining, but the thong literally shows the entire arse.
I live in the UK unfortunately...and it is a common look. But to be honest, hers is a mild version. Most British girls ware fake tan a la Donald Trump and cake on make up.
That really says more about you and your social circle than anything else.

Americans are prudes. They make way too big a deal over nudity or partial nudity. European beaches (s well as other parts of the world) have been frequented by scantily clad for decades. I’m guessing that those in Marbella didn’t see her attire as out of the ordinary.
Americans need to stop making such a big deal about nudity or the human form. Not sure when this developed, seeing as for most of human history, people had to live and see nudity very frequently, given living conditions. Advent of organized, dogmatic religions caused it I guess.

I'm not American (I'm English), and I holiday frequently in Marbella. It's not at all out of the ordinary, nor - as I stressed - am I criticising it.
What I'm saying is that if you look at it objectively, it is weird how much less women wear than men, considering changes in the Western zeitgeist (driven, perhaps, by American prudishness). It's almost the opposite of what you'd expect to have happened.
Men, by and large, wear swimming trunks. Or, at most, a speedo (which is now - weirdly - sort of mocked as a very German thing to do).
Women are now wearing thong / g-string bikinis and barely there bikini tops.
