A lot more events will be in Long Beach that I would have thought. Makes sense.
Equestrian Center in Temecula could be really hot. Poor horses.
The colosseum is in a bad area. Fine during the day and at the stadium itself. At night, the area around it is not the best area to be in. I am sure it will be fine for two weeks with a lot extra security.
The BMX stuff and archery is going to be in the valley.....that could be really hot in the summer.
Curious what the mountain bike, marathon, road bike, beach volleyball, and surfing venues will be.

Marathon will start downtown is all I can find so far.
Does anyone know what the marathon course was for 1932?
In 1984 they started on Corsair Field at Santa Monica College, went through Santa Monica and Brentwood (including Bundy Dr. and Al Michael's mentioned that OJ lived in the area)' down San Vicente, along the beach through Santa Monica and Venice,,around Marina del Rey, on the Marina Freeway, through Culver City on Slauson, Overland, and Jefferson, onto Rodeo (now Obama) Boulevard, and then Exposition Boulevard with a turn on Menlo to the Colliseum tunnel and finish on the track.
Got to hand in to Paris. Great job. This place is safe, clean, no homeless, transportation is amazing, and police don’t F around.
What the fvck are you talking about? If you think there are not homeless people in Paris, you've not been to Paris. And as with LA, there are clean areas of Paris and some that are not so clean. The same is true of any big city anywhere in the world.
By 2028, Los Angeles will be 110 degrees in the summer. Good luck watching the events!
Average high this week in LA is 88 degrees. Why is it going to be so much hotter in a few years? Is it because global warming? I'm pretty sure global warming isn't changing average temperatures by 20 degrees in a few years. I'm pretty sure it's like one or two degrees over 100 years.
[Edit: replying to arspen’s post about Paris being small and walkable.]
This. This is the number one reason. American cities generally suck bc of sprawl and highways everywhere. The best Olympic cities are dense and compact, easy to walk or bike from venue to venue with lively streets along the way full of cafes, retail, hotels, and public spaces like small parks, squares, and fountains. We just don’t have that in America. And it’s a shame.
