Two genuinely good guys with the intention of showing good sportsmanship and they get slammed by people because they are Mormons. If that was you, YOU are the disgusting one. I don't happen to agree with Mormons either, but these guys are NOT trying to hog any spotlights. That much is clear. In the meantime, some of these same haters will love Noah Lyles. Talk about someone trying to steal the show! (I happen to like Lyles too)

Yo Boomer, this is the 2020's, not the 1980's when you grew up. They can easily be photoshopped out of the photo if need be. There are also many other ways to digitally manipulate the image to actually improve it.

I'm from Utah. This is how Mormon athletes tend to behave. They hog spotlight to get attention as representatives of their religion. I have literally had conversations with other world-class Utah Mormon runners in which they've stated that the biggest factor in their athletics career is to be a representative for their religion. Regardless, it's extraordinarily distasteful to stand 3 feet from the center of the finish line as others are finishing. I'm pretty they'd all rather get their first chat with their coach or family, not some random 8th or 9th place finisher.
