I wonder if the people who made this transfer rule will have any regrets of making it.
The Herriman transfers finished 2nd and 4th in the time trial on Monday

People wonder why we stay on let's run, but I assure you, no other site has random leaks of a High School XC team's July time trial results. Only on this site, can't get this content anywhere else.

Dyestat forums (which were gone in 2010) and TrackTalk.net (which is gone just now)
Keep an eye an Hamilton AZ. They are Mike Scannell's team. They are very good. The best team in AZ state history on paper. Not quite at the Herriman AF Niwot level, but pretty close.

New rule just passed in Utah saying athletes can transfer without reason and are only penalized with a half season ban. Meaning athletes can transfer and still race by Woodbridge!!
Cooper tripp (skyridge 14th at 6a state) and Jackson Spencer (Syracuse
4:15 @ 4500 feet) are both transferring for the upcoming season. NXN is pre determined for the next few years...
Based on the entries list, both transfers get to race varsity at Timpanogos already

Better than 2017 Desert vista?

Curious to hear what Doug Soles says to defend this...he long criticized the Saratoga and FM programs (who consistently smashed him at NXN) for allowing 8th graders to run for them, because it wasn't allowed in California...by his own logic, these transfer runners should be prohibited from competing at NXN (which they certainly will not be).
Well…one of them raced with their B team at Bob Firman
Favorites ≠ unstoppable
One transfer ended up not racing varsity for Herriman, Tripp from Skyridge. Spencer and Manwaring ended up doing well though

Probably the most lenient transfer rule ever
Herriman and American Fork are 33 minutes apart

If running was my families deciding factor I'd pick AF over Herriman any day of the week. Timo is very professional and has proven he can develop fast kids in HS that go onto have success in college and beyond....the other guy just doesn't seem like a nice guy and I'll leave it at that.
If I had a kid I wouldn't touch Herriman with a 10 foot pole
I don't understand the hate towards Herriman's cross country team. I wonder if there is a legitimate reason for the hate or if there's a troll spreading rumors around, possibly from American fork or another rival school. From what I've gathered, they do similar training as other schools of their caliber and they have risen to the top over just a few years of the new coach being there. If I had a kid I would let them join Herriman's cross country program so they would be able to gain the skills needed for being a competitive athlete and a head start to a healthier lifestyle. I could say the same for American fork's program but Herriman seems to be the only utah team to be receiving the bulk of hatred!

It is rivals, it is trolls, it is people that don't want to see me succeed because they don't like my personality in interviews or things I've said. Some are just trying to push a political agenda, which is a waste of time and energy, but popular in some circles.
Plenty of people are looking at Herriman and are doing great in our program. I think the strategy is to try to make me look like a bad guy to try to keep people from transferring in or moving here. I get it, but it isn't working. Our team had a blast at the water park yesterday and the kids had a fun summer of training. Not getting a whole lot of complaints, haha.
American Fork is a great school rich in tradition and many people consider moving there for the exceptional coaching as well. Both teams will continue to be at the top in the nation for the foreseeable future regardless of a few trolls having issues with our success. Utah is just getting stronger, and so is Herriman.
Remember that if people can't explain someone's success, they will fill in the blanks with whatever bias they have.

Herriman transfer from South Dakota. Trevin Lounsbury (4:15, 9:20)

It also helps that AF feeds to BYU which us basically a continuation of the same training. I would not be surprised if your athletes would have similar long term success if they had that advantage.
I look forward to seeing what your guys can do this year and hope y'all have a good season.

Similar prs to Spencer at the same age(though not at altitude). We'll see how he does this year.

Speaking of Hamilton, a pair of sisters from that team transferred to Herriman
They also got the Van Tress siblings from Oregon. They went to the same school as Emily Wisniewski.
