Times very slow. No water tables put out so I assume conditions not terrible??

The heat is really kicking the runners butt today in Arkansas. Should never run there.
Larkin fell with 2 laps t go. not sure if she was clipped.
Larkin got thru to nationals with a little q. good for her she would have easily made the top 3 n her heat, might even have won it.
No she collapsed under horrible humidity. Absolutely brutal there today.
Every distance race has been a fight for survival today.
Arkansas 4X4 3:21.92. They were going around so fast they immediately declared a tornado watch as of 9:14.
NAU women’s 4x4 makes it to nationals w Maggi Congdon as the 3rd leg! Nice range for a great XC runner

NAU women had a really good regionals. aside from their 4X400 they got 2 in the 5000, 1 in the 1500, 1 in the 10000, and a steeplechaser headed to nationals.

NAU freshman Karrie Baloga makes it to Eugene, finishes 2nd in her heat with PB.
steeplechase might be her thing.
Her NY buddy and fellow HS record chaser, Napoleon, now at NC st also qualified in the steeple from the East. 9:54 pb.

yea I just saw on replay, and I think I saw 1 lady grab water once at least among the top runners.
Whose the genius that said let’s make the west region run in humidity hell today?

Stanford freshmen kicking butt
What a terrific frosh year Bob Kennedy's daughter has had at Stanford.
Still one race to go.
Who would have thought, out of the Big-3 frosh recruits Riggs-Bunnage-Kennedy, it's Sophia who hasn't missed a race all school year, has been rock-solid reliable (like L&L on the men's team), and could very well have the best rookie season of the three when we call it a wrap in a couple weeks.

well I am not sure what the alternative was. June weather can be problematic in many areas of the country.

Florida high schoolers seem to be able to manage in high humidity conditions, its not always going to be PR weather. Its an outdoor sport, deal with it.
