I see what you guys are saying but I don't agree at all. I still say his 3000 record shows what you are at. You would have to say at that time he ran these junior records he would have had to be 8 flat (enroute) to run 8:36...he wasn't. I could pull up a ton to argue. Rupp was even asked...and he said he didn't think he could hit it. Anywho no biggy, just my opinion, and I think its backed by what he ran the 3000 in. The other guy had tWO 8:05 3000 earlier this same year in 2002. I think if Rupp knew he could do it he would have, but he did not want to try and fail. My two pennies.
