As a coach, Joe's track record has not been great. He's had some standouts but most of his athletes have been misses.

She ran a PR of 30:55 a year later at the Olympics and placed 8th!!!!!!!! No one in that field had SS on when they ran and again, she PR'd and took 8th. Weak field in the World Championships, hence her getting 2nd place.
